Discussion: How Many Bags...?

I would assume if the set is retired they will only have "so many" extra pieces or bags. But perhaps with something like this with the FB they have a certain number of extra parts or pieces. Ultimately like everything else, it too would eventually end.

Anyone able to tell me how many bags in the Star wars #75043 AT-AP?

I picked up an open box from target today that has 5 sealed bags #'s 1-5 and two instruction books and one small sticker sheet.

Not sure if it was supposed to have any smaller bags or any loose pieces?

    Thanks

Set #10246 Detective's Office has 5 number 1 bags including the instructions which are in a number 1 bag without cardboard, 4 number 2 bags, 5 number 3 bags, 5 number 4 bags, 1 32 x 32 brown baseplate and 1 8 x 16 DBG plate loose. Also, at this point a Lego store employee is handing out a supplemental instruction sheet for the application of the mirror. This might get added or amended to the full instruction book for future production runs.

I have a question that I'll try posting here i stead of making a new thread, hope that's ok.
In #10199 Winter toy shop, are the two capes packed together in one of those cardboard envelopes? I have mine still sealed, but only have one envelope. Hoping not to have to open it to check. Does anyone remember..?

They're both in the same envelope.

Does anyone know how many bags come in the #7900 Heavy Loader set?

Actually I think I answered my own question using the instruction book. Four bags (marked as #1,#2,#3,#4) seen in the instruction book and it appears four loose large 'tiles' and the 4 bridge pieces.

I've recreated this discussion so that a master list can be maintained in the first post. We're missing the Fire Brigade and Pet Shop if an inventory can be posted and confirmed for each. Additionally, we still need to confirm some details on CC and TH. Thanks to @dougts for the preliminary TH specs.

I don't check here too often, so maybe I missed it, but does the Master List get updated regularly? It actually took me a while before I found there was a master list... even though there is a link to it in the first post, it gets overlooked rather easily.

    http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/14452/master-list-how-many-bags?

Would it be possible to somehow incorporate all this useful info into the database of the actual Brickset site?

Anybody know how many bags of #2 and #3 are in the #10188 (Death Star?) I bought a used one and it has 5x#2 and 4x#3 which looks about right. On a side note, any way to "search" just this thread and not all of Brickset for 10188 (788 hits).

How many bags in 75050 B-Wing? I just found it on clearance, but the box was badly damaged. I haven't opened it yet.

I just found a review that said  5 bags. Can anyone else confirm?

@Sethro3 Yes, I can confirm. I built it a while ago and had 5 bags. BTW you see that from instructions as well, of course that takes some time.

    Hi,
bought a UCS Slave 1 from TRU online, the Seals were (almost) broken, so i´m not sure if anything was removed, the Minifigures are there (i already checked) but i want to make sure all the bags are there, can anybody tell me how many bags it should have?
  • 77ncaachamps77ncaachamps Member Posts: 2,442
I usually check with other forums or Unboxing videos on YouTube to verify bags.

Anyone know how many bags the following large sets contain? I bought these off of Amazon Warehouse Deals and they both came with holes in the box large enough to reach in and grab the contents.

    75059: Sandcrawler

    10214: Tower Bridge

Just received my box previously opened Grand Emporium, but all bags are intact as stated from seller.

Went through the books and there is nothing that states how many of #1, #2 and #3, etc bags there should be.  Is there anywhere that I can find this information so that I can complete my purchase with a review?  It will take me awhile to finish this project and don't want to wait that long to get back to buyer that everything is okie dokie.

Any help appreciated and a 2nd or 3rd to the proper answer also appreciated if number of bags given.

How many bags & pieces are in the Star Wars Ultimate Collectors Millennium Falcon #10179? I have an opened box. It has 79 sealed bags, 2 long medium gray ladders, & the sticker. Is this a complete set? Thanks!

    Hi Everyone,
First time poster with a question about bags.  How many bags in Lego set 4997 (Ferry Transporter.

    http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51oJqRHaPWL._SY300_.jpg

I purchased some used Legos on Craigslist and this was part of the deal.  An opened box of this set with multiple sealed bags, but pretty sure I'm missing a few.

^For that set, it's actually a specific piece that you should be hunting for. It is this part without side supports, which has a high value because 20 are needed for Cafe Corner:

Really? Thanks for the info!  I'll check and see.  I was just wondering if I had all the bags so I could build the boat, but if those pieces have some value maybe this thing will pay off after all.  Although I expect this may explain why some of the bags may be missing...

I found the bag with 8 of these pieces.  But according to your link they are only worth about 9 cents a piece.  Am I missing something?  If this has some value to people, I'd sell it, not doing me any good if it's not a complete set.

BTW, I'd still be interested to know what the bag count is on this set if anyone knows.

BrickDancer's got it wrong. What's in both Transport Ferry and Cafe Corner (or, at least, the original versions of them) is this:

    http://brickset.com/parts/4113022

At £16 EACH - for a complete set of eight from Transport Ferry, that's £128. Maybe.

What's happened is that TLG, and therefore Brickset, update their inventories so that they show the current equivalent (which they can supply if needed), whether or not that particular variant ever appeared in that set. The new version isn't remotely unusual, but has a little rib running down the edge which the original doesn't. Perfectionists want the original, which, as it has been replaced by something with a bit of reinforcement, will probably never be produced again - hence it's premium value. If you look at your parts, the middle section is probably totally flat - and thin and breakable.

Flick between the two pages, with the picture in the same place, and you'll see the difference.

Definitely see the difference!  And what's even better is the more valuable piece is what I have sitting in this sealed bag.  This box came in a lot I bought of Craigslist for only $30 so feeling pretty good about it now.  Maybe I can sell these to get back some of the small fortune I just spent on 10179...  But I'll probably just hang onto them.  I'm newly bit by the Lego bug, I might want to build this cafe corner myself one day.

    Thanks for the info guys!

Funny thing is you could have stocked up by buying the #4934 Swamp Police Boat poly!

I don't think the newer piece ever came in that set, although saying that is asking for somebody to contradict you! But if you lose or break one,  that's what TLG willl send you - it's that or nothing. For Transport Ferry, it doesn't make too much difference, but for Cafe Corner, pairs are used, face-to-face, to make a window frame "box", and the difference would be obvious.

If you're going to keep them, keep them in the sealed bag, and then nobody can argue they're not new. Try counting all the pieces through the bags, roughly. That'll tell you whether the set is complete.
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
Thanks for the correct link @TigerMoth and congrats on the score @monstblitz. All you need now is another 12 of them for Cafe Corner :)
