I picked up an open box from target today that has 5 sealed bags #'s 1-5 and two instruction books and one small sticker sheet.
Not sure if it was supposed to have any smaller bags or any loose pieces?
Thanks

In #10199 Winter toy shop, are the two capes packed together in one of those cardboard envelopes? I have mine still sealed, but only have one envelope. Hoping not to have to open it to check. Does anyone remember..?

Would it be possible to somehow incorporate all this useful info into the database of the actual Brickset site?

I just found a review that said 5 bags. Can anyone else confirm?
bought a UCS Slave 1 from TRU online, the Seals were (almost) broken, so i´m not sure if anything was removed, the Minifigures are there (i already checked) but i want to make sure all the bags are there, can anybody tell me how many bags it should have?
75059: Sandcrawler
10214: Tower Bridge
Went through the books and there is nothing that states how many of #1, #2 and #3, etc bags there should be. Is there anywhere that I can find this information so that I can complete my purchase with a review? It will take me awhile to finish this project and don't want to wait that long to get back to buyer that everything is okie dokie.
Any help appreciated and a 2nd or 3rd to the proper answer also appreciated if number of bags given.

First time poster with a question about bags. How many bags in Lego set 4997 (Ferry Transporter.

I purchased some used Legos on Craigslist and this was part of the deal. An opened box of this set with multiple sealed bags, but pretty sure I'm missing a few.

Really? Thanks for the info! I'll check and see. I was just wondering if I had all the bags so I could build the boat, but if those pieces have some value maybe this thing will pay off after all. Although I expect this may explain why some of the bags may be missing...
I found the bag with 8 of these pieces. But according to your link they are only worth about 9 cents a piece. Am I missing something? If this has some value to people, I'd sell it, not doing me any good if it's not a complete set.
BTW, I'd still be interested to know what the bag count is on this set if anyone knows.

At £16 EACH - for a complete set of eight from Transport Ferry, that's £128. Maybe.
What's happened is that TLG, and therefore Brickset, update their inventories so that they show the current equivalent (which they can supply if needed), whether or not that particular variant ever appeared in that set. The new version isn't remotely unusual, but has a little rib running down the edge which the original doesn't. Perfectionists want the original, which, as it has been replaced by something with a bit of reinforcement, will probably never be produced again - hence it's premium value. If you look at your parts, the middle section is probably totally flat - and thin and breakable.
Flick between the two pages, with the picture in the same place, and you'll see the difference.
Thanks for the info guys!
In the UCS X-wing, Rebel Blockade Runner, Santa Fe car...holy! Didn't realize it!
Funny thing is you could have stocked up by buying the #4934 Swamp Police Boat poly!
If you're going to keep them, keep them in the sealed bag, and then nobody can argue they're not new. Try counting all the pieces through the bags, roughly. That'll tell you whether the set is complete.
This may help, Russell:
