Let me count mine. Got two sets from Target a few months ago. Just find out that the seal at one end was opened and re-sealed :(( ... not sure if it's complete.
No answer there unfortunately; the best I can find is a brief picture at about 2:01 here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?nomobile=1&v=ZZuYP8Ibhms
Hopefully someone else can chime in who knows better.
Eurobricks post many reviews of sets that are linked to the Brickset database, and most of them are very detailed. There are a couple for 4842 showing what's in the box.
Oky's review shows this image which should be of help.
As you can see it has 10 bags, 3 loose parts, 3 instruction booklets and, unfortunately, a sticker sheet. I'm assuming the one you have your eye on is second hand so may already have the stickers applied.
I hope this helps and good luck with the auction if you choose to go with it! :)

Minifigs are split across bags 1 and 2
22 Un-numbered Bags

1 Loose Sticker Sheet
1 Loose Instruction book
Would be most useful for those buying opened box with unused bag sets.
What you all think?
It would be nice to include the bag count, but it means that they cannot change packing part way through a run if needed - otherwise it would need an instruction manual reprint.
I don't think Bricklink for example carries this data either.
Even if there are different versions of the same set, the numbers could be included.
It would need to be crowd-sourced but at the moment I don't have a mechanism for doing so for core database content. If everyone could be trusted to enter correct information it would be easy, but if it's to be reliable and trusted, some form of checking needs to be put in place, and at the moment I don't have a solution for that. I'm open to suggestions, though...
You could use the "How many bags" Thread to crowd source the information. If you get say 20 or so people to agree on a count you could call that a good source of information.

Of course, some people would want to know the color of the baseplates or the type of loose parts...

This is the same bag count as given by @dougts on page 2 of this thread. Hope this helps. :-)
It appears all of the bags were there (box is near trashed though)
You are welcome and no apologies needed:-) I actually searched high and low for the bag count before I came across @dougts's post :-) Even eurobricks had the bag count pic all jumbled:-).
Thanks @dougts, the HH bag count was very helpful.:-)
@piratemania7
It was your missing bags post that spurred me into opening my HH, thanks.:-)

I won one on eBay that was new sealed bags (No Box) and wanted to see if I have all the bags.
From what I received it has 10 bags? Looks right to me.
If no one knows I guess I'll find out when I get around to building it. :)
I suspect this was a returned item that the staff have checked to make sure someone hasn't taken stuff out when returning.
Any help much appreciated.
