Can anyone please confirm that this is correct for this set?
1 bag of 6 instruction manuals and 1 leaf of stickers. With a piece of cardboard to keep them flat.
7 numbered bags of lego.
1 bag with 16 flexible track pieces.
8 straight tracks in 2 stacks of 4.
16 corner tracks in 4 stacks of 4.
1 bag numbered 4581960 containing the receiver/direction switch (this is numbered 4566756 in the inventory).
1 small cardboard box numbered 4621120, containing a small bag of 8 drive wheels (4 for the engine and 4 spares), a bag of 4 magnetic connector buffers, the engine, a battery pack and a radio controller.
1 small bag containing a red cover for the battery pack, 8 x 4 studs, 3 and 3/4 bricks high.
1 small bag of 4 magnetic connector buffers.
1 brown rail truck tub, numbered 4631878 in the inventory.
1 black flatbed for the red engine, 28 x 6 studs.

It is a short 2-3 hour build depending on how you concentrate. :)

I doubt they ever really make mistakes. But it is nice for a user to check that they have everything that should be there before starting to build. I've occasionally had a sticker sheet that has got caught in a flap and not noticed it.
To me it is clear that they change the process at some point during its production period, possibly because they have found a more efficient way of pack those particular pieces. To document that fact on the back of an instruction manual would cause chaos ie. an old stock of manuals packed with newly collated boxes of bags.

If the configuration of the bags/parts is subject to change, and putting specifics in the manual won't work, how about they provide a custom URI to a page on their site instead? That way, ordering a missing part/bag could subsequently be made easier (via specialized links, etc) and in cases where text explanations are required, can be multilingual without any printed overhead.
