It’s always something. This time extra line feeds after using the hashtag

Am I the only one who always ends up with a line feed after using # to create a set link? For example #1530 did not have one after it when I typed this. It even does it when I start a line with one.

#75055 I did not hit return after this.

But then they sometimes fix themselves after I do an edit like both of the above tests. 🙄

So here’s one where I didn’t do an edit.

    #75055 see?

I also noticed the front page and forums behave slightly different with line feeds depending on whether I'm using my laptop or desktop, strangely.
e.g. I didn't hit 'Return' twice to get this space. ^^  Laptop requires two Return entries to get the same result.  OS differences, I guess...

Yeah, the extra line feeds between paragraphs thing has been around for a long time. It seems to affect some people more than others. Notice how your “extra” LFs disappeared in the quote above. Probably a similar cause?

And if I quote myself, the extra one goes away.

...but only for you, not me? =oD  So strange.  Anyway, we're probably looking a bit too much like Statler & Waldorf on the issue...and I should probably stop the screenshotting, lest I trigger a rip in forum space-time.

I've been noticing a few formating quirks on the forums lately, and not just on hashtag lines. But also for instance I've seen it happening after words that have been italicised.

To get to the bottom of this, we need a montage.  A sports training montage....

@lowlead - like a sciencing montage from the Hulk?

The issue seems to have been fixed, by the way.

Now it seems to be any kind of formatting is inserting a line feed. It just did it to me after using italicised text.
