SweetLogan: Just joined from South MS
So, I recently rediscovered lego (via recent sales at Walmart) and through the joys of google I found Brickset. I've read over the posts listed here a little over the last few days and decided I might as well join.
I'm not a hardcore collector. I'm really just looking to pick up what legos I can, where I can. Mostly, I am taking advantage of sales/garage sales/thrift store purchases and hanging on to them for my (one day) children to enjoy. I've made some pretty awesome finds including 2 bucks for most of a 7036 set.
I enjoy most of the different sets, though I find a particular attraction to the City Life ones. I think it is a great twist on the standard police/firefighter dream kids have, to build and make your own scenarios. I generally don't keep sets together. It is a mixture of losing instructions/pieces over the years and desire to make new things. Legos are just puzzles that can make different pictures, why not take advantage of that? Of course, that being said, I have had a helicopter (Not sure of the number/set but it is the black/yellow like the res-q/rescue sets) assembled and sitting in my room since .. well.. as long as I can remember.
Well, enough of that. If you'd like to chat, here I am.
