    That old dinosaur did get hot when you hammered all the processors for days at once. Back in the days when we kept servers under a desk in a room without air-con or ventilation.

    The Pyroraptor is slightly off accuracy, the lower portions should be a blue grey but it looks decent enough compared to the one in the trailer, the Tricera isn't the one for that scene.
    It is also very small and made out of plastic.

    The Pyroraptor on the left is LEGO version while the one on the right was fixed in a computer program by an user on the Jurassic World Evolution 2 Discord to approximate it better with the film version, knowing LEGO tendency of re releasing the same dino (looks at the T-Rex) they might give us a more accurate colored Pyro to the one in the trailer but sadly, the lenght of the feathers in the arms would require a new mold so the one we are getting will have to do:

    For a more gritty movie like, the one on the right is great while the one on the right works as well but as a separate member of the same pack. You could, if having both, say one is the male (colorful) and the one with more muted colors the female as it tends to happen in nature.

    I think I need to see at least a hundred more iterations of color schemes for the pyrexrabbit.

    How many T-Rex do we already have just for the JW LEGO range (not counting the skeleton or the brick built versions)?

    Me too. Also the recoloured version would require dual molding as well as paint which seems unlikely.

    With LEGO now having access to multiple vehicle licenses thanks to the Speed Champions line I wonder, how feasible would it be for them to finally bring the following vehicles (we already have the Ford Explorer and Gyrosphere in a existing and upcoming sets) to physical format (not my video):

    If you don't apologize for doing nothing wrong, then the mob loses interest.  Or tries a less-effective alternative attack strategy.

    (Just ask Joe Rogan.  And that Neil Young's music has low-key returned to Spotify.  Magic!)

    Ok, official more official images and I have to say, I love that US DFW color scheme:

  • LordmoralLordmoral Member Posts: 920
    For a movie based LEGO plane, that is a great functioning set with what appears to be space for all figures and as for the afro mentioned green coloration, it reminds me of the colors Frontier chose to depict their DFW buildings and vehicles only that it is white rather than grey.
  • LordmoralLordmoral Member Posts: 920
    The above images are from Brickset article but this one well, I found it on one Discord Servers I follow and it is a wonderful indication how LEGO managed to fit the three figures so nicely in the plane:

    We are slightly hysterical about these sets, my son wants them all, I want at least three, probably four of them... it's awesome that there are so many new dino moulds...

    ...yet, the absence of any sauropods (other than the Duplo one) is still disappointing. I know why, I see the lack of action or of perilous situations that have kid appeal, I can comprehend the necessity for huge moulds, the multiple new elements needed. So, frankly I understand that it could be an expensive set that might not sell at well as a result of the price point and perceived value. I guess ditto for a new stegosaurus too. Doesn't mean I want those dinosaurs any less.

    Stegos are known to be a bit more territorial than carnivores honestly

    Here is the DUPLO set, that sauropod mold can still be useful as a stand in for a juvenile Brachiosaurus:

    A nice plane, hopefully we see that type of plane gets used in regular City sets and as for the JWD sets, we are missing one with:
    -Giganontosaurus;
    -Therizinosaurus;
    -cannot say this one as it is a speculated one;
    -that swarm of things seen in a farm;
    -Mosasaurus sets yes sets, an UCS style Mosasaurus feeding show and one pitted against a fisherman ship.
    Edit:
    -Allosaurus;
    -Nasuceratops;
    -Moro;

    What set would you want from the Jurassic Park/World franchise after Dominion hype dies down a bit?
    My list:
    1. JP:
    -dig site (comes with Raptor skeleton like the Ideas Set , Alan, Ellie, a trailer and a fee paleo personnel and yes, even the kid what will be interesting here is that there will also be a printed Raptor fossil on a plate giving the illusion they were digging it up);
    -Brachi (comes with Brachi, a Paralophosaurus, JP Jeep new, driver, helicopter, landing pad, a tree and a few other employees along with Hammond and Genaro);
    -Visitor Center (the big one of the wave and Master Builder style with the control room, lab, cinema and kitchen along a small store. Figures will be a Rex and Apatosaurus skeletons for display and raptors in the style of the Atrociraptors figures and the complete cast);
    -Ford Tour Escape (comes with one jeep, Rex and a collection of figures along the padlock with sign with a bathroom);
    -Tricera Med attention (comes with the second Ford, other figures, Tricera, pile of poop, Vet and his jeep);
    -Nedris Escape (JP Jeep along with Nedris and a JP colored Dilo as well the can);

    2. TLW:
    -Beach attack (x4Compies, rich family and staff);
    -Rex Attack (Doe the Rex vs Ian Camp and Co);
    -San Diego Breakout (Buck the Rex and Ian & Sarah along baby Rex, lunch with the red car and a cargo boat);
    -Tall Grass and Compound (the big one, a few dilatated buildings (nice excuse to use incomplete buildings), the two colors of raptors and a few Hunter and the cast);
    -Ingen Hunting Game (a Master Builder set but just the Hunter Camp, a few cages, a few vehicles, many dinos like Stegos and Mamenchiasaurus as well the Pachi as well some figures like Roland Tembo and Compies);

    3. JP3:
    -Spinosaurus vs Bull the Rex (plane, cast and the two dinos);
    -Raptor Nest (JP3 colored raptors, Corynthosaurus and Billy);
    -Aviary Escape (a fewe Pteradons, a Ceratosaurus and a few figures);

    4. JW:
    -Mosasaurus Feeding Show (like the T-Rex Breakout brick built Mosasaurus and the stands);
    -Apatosaurus Rampage (an Apatosaurus with a fence piece and a few scared guests in a Gyrosphere along a Pachi);
    -Main Street mayhem (Dimorphodons and a Pterasaurus along baby sauropod and baby Galli);
    Raptor Squad vs Indominus Rex (the squad with the Atroci molds and the I-Rex along some Ingen Hunters);

    5. FK:
    -Mosasaurus Helicopter attack (recreating the opening with a brick built Mosa and a sub and helo along some figures);
    -Allosaurus Transport (as seen at the end of the film a truck towing an enclosed trailer with a built in escape feature that is barely noticeable and actioned so as to use normally and a civilian car with a driver with two faces).

    Those are my ideas, let me know if I covered the moments not used by LEGO well and what would you use.

    Giga vs Theri set has been spotted in a store, this is the photo of the ok go from the Brickset team and the set on a shelve of what looks like on a Target:

    As suspected the set seems to be the only place so far to get: Alan, Ellie and Wu (looks different than in the trailer).

    The sail is a bit too big on the Giga, the head is I-Rex and Theri is using independent claws (seems like a compromise).

    The tower Owen and Claire are seems to be the scene in the trailer where a dino mouth chomps on a tower Claire is climbing, the flyer Maya is using seems to be the one appears on the trailer, and that decent facility appears to be the Biosyn (Ingen competitor in the first film) facility in the trailer.

    No wonder they kept this set under wraps.

    Brickset tends to have these articles where they showcase a random set or part and then elaborate a few details, today turn was with the good old Monorail System which was suspiciously absent from their Jurassic World line up: https://brickset.com/article/73758/random-set-of-the-day-monorail-accessory-track

    @Lordmoral there is a spoiler option to keep text hidden such as this:

    This keeps everyone who hasn't seen the film from accidentally seeing spoilers about the film before they get chance to go to the cinema.

    Ok, having seen the movie I can admit the sets are pretty accurate to the events of the film but, here are my proposed changes [SPOILERS FOR Jurassic World Dominion incoming]:

    -Triceratops Rampage (while Trikes were present in the scene it should have been a Nasutoceratops who busted the truck and while there were ATV present it was not used by Claire, Ben and her friend but instead they use a van and there should have been a baby Nasutoceratops in there);

    -Quetzalcoatlus Plane Attack (one of the most accurate sets out there with the only faults being that the Quetz and head should be posable and I would have included the Pyroraptor here as well another Pteranodon);

    -Pyroraptor and Dilophosaur Transport (the guard should have had a Biosyn logo, rather than the Pyro it should have been a Dimetrodon and the Jeep could have seated the poor guard so as not to leave her behind even if she was a character inserted in the set);

    -4+ Pteranodon set (inaccurate beyond the fact that Owen and Massie were in Malta but it needed a market owner);

    -Beta and Massie Capture (70% accurate although Massie was not captures by the Pick Up truck nor she was using a motorbike);

    -4+ T-Rex set (it should have been Rexy not behind a half made DFW post but instead a DFW truck transport with a few DFW agents and not with Owen and the other girl);

    -Giga vs Theri (accurate but needed Dogson and the Moros);

    -Malta set with T-Rex and an Atrociraptor (accurate except it needed a truck driver, Barry, an agent not Owen but Claire is accurate and instead of the T-Rex an Allosaurus);

    -Malta set with the ring (90% accurate although I would add it a few more minifigures, an Oviaraptor, a Microceratus and a Lystrosaurus as well both baby Carno and Bary).

    Well, with the recent Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous Hidden Adventure we got a new creature which leaves me to present a potential set:
    Tarbosaurus Roller Coaster Escape: features a Roller Coaster akin to the ones from the Friends and City lines (not so big but something modest to control the cost). Has the titular Tarbosaurus (a rival to the Therizinosaurus) alongside a few Compies (the tiny terrors) and Darius, Kenji, Park employee. Besides the Rollercoaster build, we can have a few supplementary builds: Dilophosaurus trio water fountain, store stand, T-Rex statue.

    Thanks for your time.

    Ok, so by now we have all seen the sets for the upcoming JP 30th Anniversary celebration and we'll I have to be blunt: I expected much better from LEGO. The sets look as if they are for the 4+ crowd.

    Raptor Escape 4+
    The designer just came up with a portion of the padlock and it didn't even enclosed it completely. In 2015 we had a small enclosure for two Raptors but at least that was enclosed. It feels as if the designer was making a bigger enclosure and then he was told to make a smaller 4+ set. Up for the worst sets next to 4+ T-Rex Breakout from JWD.

    Dilophosaurus
    No question nothing wrong with this set. The only thing that would have been better would be a small environmental build to trap the Jeep.

    Triceratops
    A good Trike, should be grey brown, it needed the JP Vet in addition to the things included.

    Brachiosaurus
    This is literally a full priced 4+ set. The Brachiosaurus is a big mold but that has the two frontal in the mould and the two back legs which can recreate the famous scene. The creature is the wrong color as so I don't know what source LEGO had for the 1993 film. The tree needed more foliage. The animal looks as if it a juvenile.

    Visitor Center
    No Alamosaurus skeleton, open on the back, no stairs or fountain, should have had the For Explorer, a small track yound Wu, I can go on but what happened?

    Over the years LEGO has had to work with limited sources when making sets but for this film? They have had the film for over 20 years and I see that they barely looked at it. The back of the boxes show we might get a set with a Pteranodon (which Ingen was working on them at the time) as well Paralophosaurus, which are seen both in a mural on the Visitor Center and after the famous Brachiosaurus scene drinking water, potentially teasing us to more un announced sets.

        I was very disappointed myself. I had really hoped for some special sets for the anniversary. The storefront approach to sets of different themes doesn't spark anything for me. I do hope others like the sets or those who like to mod enjoy them.

    I mean, I am getting them but besides the Dilophosaurus set a discount will be needed, that Brachiosaurus is too tempting.

    Like others, I thought these would be better, plus they are very expensive but I presume that due to licencing?

    Like most of the Jurassic films, the Dinosaurs are the best bit!

    License plays a big role (the Jeeps, Barbasol and the Jurassic Park licenses) but the creatures should have been done much better.
    Edit: looking at the frontal legs of the Brachiosaurus for an example.

    I think licensing is actually probably NOT as large a percentage in the high cost as it tends to be for most other licensed sets.  My bet would be that most of the high cost of these sets comes down to 1 thing: the large, intricate dinosaur molds that are used for a very, very limited number of sets, and include a lot of detailed printing.  Especially if this is the last hurrah for JP sets for a good long time that some people seem to be expecting, there will be very little, if any, chance for LEGO to recoup the expense of those specialized parts going forward except with this specific release.  And they are likely not going to be able to make up for that with raw volume like they typically could with say, some of the CMF sets.

    This is not to say that I, personally, am enamored with the prices... the visitor center especially leaves a lot to be desired for the price point imo.  But I do think there's a logical (and, to be fair, not bad) reason behind their pricing decisions on the line :\

    Yeah, had sets like the Raptor Padlock been better (best award to the one who thought that scene was for the 4+ crowd) there wouldn't be so much anger. The Brachiosaurus should have been build with the same techniques they used with the LEGO Eleves theme: some big parts but otherwise amazing brick built body.

    The most I can see with the Visitor Center is to use it as an abandoned place in a JW table.

    The set with the Trike should have come with a Vet and a Jeep.

    IF they do a The Last World line:
    -Paralophosaurus Capture (one vehicle, Hunters);
    -Pachycephalosaurus Rampage (vehicle, hunters x2 Pachy's);
    -Mamenchisaurus walk (motorbike);
    -Stegosaurus Defense (baby stego, Stego, Sara Harding);
    -4+ Compy Escape (following LEGO example it would either be Dieter running from them or the attack to the girl);
    -alternative 4+ Long Grass Surprise
    -T-Rex Boat Transport (Buck, baby Rex, a great boat);
    -Doe versus Vehicles on a Clift (Malcom, Sara and Nick).

    For JP3:
    -Spinosaurus Rampage (plane, a few characters);
    -4+ Pteranodon Nest (adult mommy and baby with the kid);
    -Raptor Nest;
    -Ceratosaurus Encounter (boat, another pile of s----);

    For JW:
    -Mosasaurus show,

    The Ingen Complex from TLW and JP3 would fit with LEGO set ideas following the example of the Visitor Center.

    Those new Jurassic Park 30th anniversary sets generally look pretty good and the choice of subject matter makes sense for most. The brachiosaurus encounter (that will make another fine addition to my collection) and visitor centre are at least iconic moments, as is the Nedry scene. I don’t think the ‘Triceratops and poop’ set was a very good idea - but perhaps it’s a sign that this additional subtheme is only really aiming towards adults. I can’t imagine little Timmy going “hey mum, I really want that set because there’s a really cool pile of poo!”.

    The visitor centre is fairly basic inside but at least it seems to open up a little and includes some iconic areas. The most laughable element to me is the tiny brick built T-Rex skeleton. Still, there was that ‘scale skeleton’ set a year or two ago from Camp Cretaceous so you could sub that in instead. It would still tower above the rear of the visitor centre though I suspect.

    The prices don’t really surprise me. What surprises me is that so many people are constantly surprised by the prices of these sets with huge intricate moulds and printing.

    They "look good" is still below our expectations. That Raptor Padlock is atrocious specially since LEGO has had the Raptor mold for a long time now (same with the Rex and the Triceratops). What surprised me is that for the Dominion wave, the small 4+ set is with the Pteranodon is gorgeous while the T-Rex Breakout is not. The latter is what LEGO decided to pull here again. Having a Brachiosaurus is fantastic but they could have done better. I am not saying you are wrong but, LEGO needs to be reminded that the work they performed here (for the 30th Anniversary no less) was severely lacking.

    The JP T-Rex Breakout and the JP Gate feel more suited to celebrate the moment than these sets, besides the Dilophosaurus Ambush.

    I've seen people comment that Sam Neill's face doesn't look quite right for him, and I agree, but it just struck me that it would be pretty good for a Sean Connery Bond.
