Slot machine project - are these custom blocks?

Hi friends, so I was looking at some custom projects online while on a lunch break, and I’ve come across something that caught my eye. Namely, this guy has built a fully functioning slot machine out of LEGO. Overall, this entire project looks super clean, but I have a few questions.

If you take a look at his blocks, it looks like he’s using a few custom pieces mainly for the internal mechanism for the machine. Here’s the link to his project https://ideas.lego.com/projects/276eeebc-4e40-4051-8331-1695f5210acd

The reason why I’m captivated by this setup is simple. I’ve always had a thing for Las Vegas, casinos, slot machines. In fact, I tried to make something similar to this when I was a kid, of course, to no success. Later on, I’ve made a true-to-scale slot cabinet out of LEGOs.

The cabinet houses a bunch of electronics where I’ve loaded a dozen or so games like these https://www.nodepositdaily.com/features/free-spins-funny-themed-slots/ . Overall, it’s a complex setup, but it’s not doing it for me.

I still want to do a fully analog slot machine like this guy above, but on a larger scale. In other words, I want more reels and more rows in my design. Is this doable or am I looking at fabricating a bunch of custom pieces?
