Can the tank/rockets from Space Shuttle 10231 be retrofitted to 10283?

Has anyone tried it? Is it out of proportion too much?  Can the fuel tank/rockets be lengthened?

I've not had them side by side, but they are pretty different scales.  Lengthening the boosters is manageable.  Where I think your going to run into trouble is the widening the fuel tank.  I think you'd better off building them from scratch at the 10283 scale, with 10231 as reference.

10213/10231 are at approximately 1:110 scale. 10283 is at approximately 1:70 scale.  The Bricks in Space Facebook group has some pictures of someone's 1:70 tank and boosters you can see.
