I'm about to buy a used 9748-1: Droid Developer Kit and they say that they are not sure if ALL the pieces are present but think that most of them are, I was wondering if there should be any pieces in particular that I should be looking for that might be hard to come by or expensive (outside the main cpu piece)?

The unusual flexible technic pieces are pretty unique to this set, so make sure all those are there. Also the blue turntable is a unique piece in any colour! Obviously the 2 R2 head pieces need to be there.

I dug out my set last week, and I was surprised at how many pieces are left over after the R2 model has been built up.

Thanks for the info i picked up the set and checked for these pieces and it seems they are all here. The box is in good shape and the book amd cd are in mint condition, I'm very excited to put this together.

@legofantexas i found it on craigslist for $25, it was an amazing deal it seems.

Ok I have now gone through all the pieces of the set to see if it was complete.... I should have known it wouldn't be. There were suppose to be 16x 'Technic Pin 3/4' and there was only 15.... now how am I suppose to make an R2D2!? lol.... I am so happy I got this set for $25 and it is 99.9% complete! (ONLY ONE PIECE MISSING!!!) Can't wait to build it!

Thanks again to @coachie for the heads up!

I just finished putting R2D2 together and it turns out there were no pieces missing from the set, the Technic pin was still attached to one of the unique flexible pieces that @coachie had mentioned. Very pleased with this Craigslist find!!!
