^ That really gets my goat.  And I only have 2 because I never imagined that LEGO would release them in only one set.
I would have thought that two would be enough to start a whole new family of goats, but maybe they decided to go the Double Income No Kids route…

So, one nitpick here, slavery has existed since people.  It still exists today.  Only "woke" western leftists place it on America or the British Empire.  Besides, Boba Fett flew Slave One.  The "heroes" were only ever on it against their will....or better said, one of the heroes was on it against his will.
Absolutely true. Apologies if I gave the impression that this is/was 'just' a UK/USA problem. As for being a woke leftist westerner... I try to avoid labels with baggage. Everyone's a individual.

^ But some individuals do get a bit upset over things they really shouldn't care about. Like what's written on the side of a box.

Also, when was Thrawn in ST4?

This could be a rabbit hole...

But I am not really fussed if Lego change the name on the box... for me, it is more just a symptom of a world that seems too worried about not offending anyone, and pandering to the fear of being perceived as offensive.

I must confess I just don't understand the rules of this game anymore.  For example, I recall not too long ago there was outrage and horror because a white person played a black historical character in a film (no facepaint involved by the way)... ok I kinda get it.

Then a few months later the BBC here in the UK have a black lady playing a white historical character (again no face-paint involved). This was hailed as progressive!

But it all just leaves me confused as to what the rules now are - almost to the point that I worry about having a strong opinion about anything (outside of forums) as god knows who will be upset.

Yeah, that's not good is it? We need to be able to give opinions and share ideas and viewpoints both without fear of being 'cancelled' or being accused of 'SJW libtardiness'. As long as the point is a good one, and not just a reactionary knee-jerk.

My normal modus operandi is to wait and see what people say from all sides of the argument, and compare to my own view and see if what they are saying modifies what I would have said otherwise. If it doesn't change my POV I go ahead and say it. If it does, then maybe I need to think a bit more.

The real trick is to recognise when I'm wrong and say so. That isn't easy.

Conveniently, however, I am on a forum where there's plenty going on I can talk about without having to brave opposing political viewpoints, as no politics are involved. So I go do that.

this is so dumb. the name "Slave" refers to the slave circuitry in the ships navigation system which allowed the captain to summon the ship on command from virtually anywhere. this was outlined in the now non cannon/legend books in the Heir to the Empire series. And also in the Shadows of the Empire video game. It had nothing to do with slavery or anyone being a slave at one point. oh well, what can ya do? You'll always be Slave 1 to me.

Calling it, they'll rename it to Fettch 1.

Stop trying to make Fetch happen :D :D
