Makeover: 31120 Medieval Castle

When news emerged that summer 2021’s 3-in-1 Creator would be a castle, like many AFOLs, I was at once excited and apprehensive. Would it be a ‘true’ castle in the grand tradition of that theme? Or would it take after Nexo Knights, Ninjago or some other aesthetic? Long-starved of castle-y goodness, I really needed to know.

Weeks later, when images appeared, I was both relieved and delighted. The set was a worthy successor to the golden age of Castle. Hooray! I eagerly awaited its European release at midnight on 1 June and, when the day – or more accurately, night – finally came, I was among the first to place an order.
