Pre-order the Infinity Gauntlet

76191 Infinity Gauntlet looks to be one of the most anticipated of the June releases and it's now available for pre-order at ZAVVI where it's bundled with a free T-Shirt, and also at LEGO.com.

The price is the same at both, £59.99, and ZAVVI will ship worldwide for a reasonable fee so is a good option if LEGO is expensive or hard to come by where you are.

That is an interesting question.  Based on what they’ve recently done with Harry Potter and Star Wars sets, it would seem that maybe this is the new norm.  And if so, it probably helps them capture sales of customers otherwise disappointed by their first choice being out of stock.  It might also help them with real time inventory planning.
