Related Sets and Minifigs You Own

OneIsLitOneIsLit Member Posts: 4
Hello,

I own two "Assorted" sets, namely #1476 and #1974. When I look at the "Minifigs You Own" page, none of the minifigs in these sets show up as being part of my collection.  Furthermore, when I open up one of the related sets,  and select the Minifigs tab, the minifigs are not displayed as owned by myself.

One potential fix would be to disown the value pack set and instead list the separate, Related, sets as being part of my collection.  However, it would be nice if a logical relation existed to include the minifigs of the Related sets. Or, perhaps I'm missing something and I did not input my collection correctly?

Thanks!

P.S. Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried to search the Database forums and I didn't find the issue in any recent discussion posts.

Is this perhaps the same issue brought up in this recent thread?

    Hi @Astrobricks,

I found that issue as part of my search before posting this question, and I did consider posting my question as a comment there.  Certainly, the "fix" might be the same for the two issues.  However, that issue is pertaining to Super Mario / Character Pack series, and as @Huw pointed out, it might have been due to the change in status of the characters to be declared minifigs.  So I though I would post a new question for these sets, since they are rather old.

Yes it would be nice if there was a connection, but there isn't at the moment so the solution is to separately own each constituent set for now.

Thank you very much @Huw for following up.  I really appreciate it!  Even though it sort-of inflates my total set count by 2, I may keep the "Assorted" sets listed as part of my collection as well.

Side note: I let my daughters play with the Related 1974 Smuggler's Hayride set and they lost the black feather from the forestman's cap, which is ludicrously expensive to replace.  But that's not a problem that can be solved in this forum.  :-)

Wow, a blast from the past... I wish LEGO would bring those 'value packs' back..
