Tatooine Homestead - Free to a creative home! (UK only)

Lego recently covered themselves in the usual amount of glory associated with GWP giveaways (i.e. not very much) when the May the 4th #40451 Tatooine Homestead gift ran out (in the UK at least) in a matter of hours.  Less a five day extravaganza, more a twelve hour shambles.

After an early Saturday morning order to Lego online to get R2-D2, which snagged me a Homestead set, I managed to get a Mrs Boo-sanctioned visit to Watford to get the A-Wing so I could pick up the in-store Shuttle poly.  I was surprised to see that stores were also giving away the Homestead (I thought it was online only), so I have inadvertently ended up with two copies.

That feels a bit mean when so many people didn't get one at all, so I've decided to give one away.

The Rules!

It seemed that the UK got hit hardest, plus I'll cover the postage, so to that end, this is only open to UK Bricksetters (apologies to everyone else).

I'm not making it mandatory, but should the winner wish to make a donation to The Stroke Association (my Mum died from a stroke nearly 10 years ago) then that would be lovely.  Doesn't matter how much - I know some people are strapped for cash thanks to the last year or so - but even a pound helps.  Whatever you feel comfortable with.  (I know that kind of negates the whole 'free' and 'giveaway' aspects of this, so if the winner feels strongly about it, then skip the donation.)

Please, please, please - I'd like this to go to someone who really wanted it, and missed out through no fault of their own.  If you would be just sticking it in a cupboard to appreciate in value, or would put it straight on Ebay, then I humbly ask you to give this one a miss.

So.  What do you have to do to get it?

You have to build a MOC which represents the Brickset Forum!

It can be anything you like - a logo, a vignette that you think represents the Forum - let your imagination run wild.

To enter, simply post a picture, or pictures, of your MOC in this thread, no later than midnight (BST) on Monday May 31st.

Not sure how we'll pick a winner yet.  I might do it, I might ask Huw to do it or maybe we'll put it to a forum member vote - we'll work something out in the next few weeks.

Cheers!

Boo

Jolly decent of you, had no interest in this set as it would've forced me to go and collect the previous GWP in this vignettes series on the secondary market so I refrained from making a May 4th purchase!

Hope this goes to someone who appreciates it and whilst I may not need want the set I look forward to seeing all the entries from those that do :)

That’s such a kind thing to do. I’m not a SW fan and don’t need the set, but I look forward to seeing some mocs 😂

Really cool of you to part with your spare, @BooTheMightyHamster. I don't think many of us on here would be willing to do that. Hopefully it will go to great home.

I hope someone bites your arm off (in the form of a MOC) for this and the charity suggestion is a great one!

I was able to satisfactorily get my Star Wars goodies so I’ll give it a miss out of courtesy - I’m sure there’ll be a few out there that will appreciate your generosity though :)

Did anyone ever do this? I have just found the thread and am sad I missed it (being one of those that has all the other similar dioramas and was raging when Lego sold out in hours)

We had a grand total of zero entries!

It's still sitting here, so I'll come up with a less onerous competition over the weekend.

ok, I am very keen. I'm still kinda pissed at Lego for that, I was online 4 hours after it went live and was just astounded that it was OOS
