So many tires and wheels, bulk selling help

as the title says, I have almost 40 pounds of tires and wheels. I just do not have the time or desire to sort them any more than what they are. has anyone had success in selling by the lb?

At least sort larger ones into groups of four matching ones. Otherwise by the pound they are worthless if they are not matched.

You may find just the right buyer.....but how long will that take?  Better to follow CCC's advice and at lease sort out the larger ones and group them in fours.  They will sell much more easily than just a random assortment by weight.

I know tires and wheels are always among the last items I sort from bulk lots. I have more than I know what to do with. I have yet to go the direction of Bricklink or Ebay for selling, but tend to do what CCC suggested and at least sort out sets or the larger/more expensive pieces. 

Maybe I should finally start on that Winter Village Tire Dump?

I’ve thought of doing a MOC of one of those building moving machines with hundreds of wheels.

I have no idea what the financial loss to you might be, but if the work to sort and list outweighs the value, consider finding out if there are LEGO clubs at any area schools. There are NEVER enough wheels!
