I really hate to get anything for in store credit any longer from TRU. I just got a 20% off coupon for one non sale item and another 10 dollar off coupon from their mailer, but Im not sure I would want to buy anything from a TRU B&M anymore, especially if it is a sought after set, which appears more likely to be swapped by thieves, maybe Ill pick up some of the smaller city sets I am missing still.
I got my boxes from TRU, I have yet to open the shipping boxes but a few boxes look like they were kicked like soccer balls, but with the fact that the super huge box allows for the item to shift around so they should be ok I hope, but really it is better than what WalMart did with a bigger set I bought online.. basically slap a shipping label ON the LEGO box and shipped it out... mercifully the box made it to me relatively unscathed, but it made TRU shipping look amazing.......
Also, does anyone know if the Pet Shop was EVER available so far during the BOGO sale?
I'm starting to wonder if this is one of those amazing coincidences that they do not seem to have certain LEGO sets in stock during a BOGO.
The extra boxes are nice if you are a reseller since you won't have to buy as many boxes- just be sure to pack two per box.
I just hope the 4 boxes being delivered today haven't been roughed up too much, I hate having to return to B&M store and sit on the credit until the next online sale.
Will need to roll the dice and take it to a TRU B&M and see if I can swap it for one in the store.. hope I do not get a swapped content box in doing so....
After checking online to see available stocks in stores, I'm guessing I will need to contact TRU customer service to exchange it once they have them back in stock
I know I received a 20% one item coupon for a TRU store which is good from 2/24/12 to 3/1/12, but wondering if something else is going on to try to get a super stack thing going.
You qualify for a FREE CASH BACK REBATE up to $20 for your purchase today courtesy of Great Fun!.
I call the phone # given on the link and the person say a $20 gift card will be send to me within 5 days.
Hmmm. A quick search of Big Fun and Rebate comes up with all kinds of consumer complaint sites and scams. Be careful!
@Odindusk, the excavator is out of stock right now, but it has been restocked 2-3 times already so keep checking.

No, I mean there are a pair sitting at my local TRU and I just can't get over the mental hump and decide to buy them. Someone convince me. Go.
Still have a 15% off coupon so will probably try to go back and get something else! =)
I must dwell on this over dinner.
Wow, they were pretty well stocked, including an Excavator, which I've never seen in the stores before. It wasn't a return either, or I don't think, it was mint condition.
They had a number of larger sets, but nothing worth buying I'm afraid. Grr...
Store credit already spent back on TRU's web site. :)
Also, I do admit that the piece count being so low is something that tugs me in the direction of not getting it. I realize that it includes a ton of Power Functions stuff which justifies the cost, but I just love putting together huge sets with high piece counts. I feel like I'd be robbed somewhat of that experience with the Excavator. There is a lot of "play" in the final product, which may be good for scaring my cats, I guess.
