^^^ I don't think Toy Shops were in stock, I only saw the PO and Winter Bakery that night just past midnight.

    Unless I missed it...

@dsdg88 Toy Shops? or Post Office?
  • YellowcastleYellowcastle Administrator, Moderator Posts: 5,234
Post Office and Bakery were available at kickoff, not the Toy Shop...

GE back in-stock. Still out of FB.
  • DougoutDougout Member Posts: 888
I just noticed, but it's a shame there is not much to match.
  • DougoutDougout Member Posts: 888
OH! Tower bridge just came back in stock!!
  • jtkauffjtkauff Member Posts: 15
Yup, Tower Bridge and Grand Emporium are back in stock - just was able to put in an order for those two. Fire Brigade, Pet Shop, Shuttle Expedition, VW Van are still out of stock.
  • DougoutDougout Member Posts: 888
I see logging truck and grand emporium are the two best selling sets at the moment. I guess people are pairing those two to get a deal although the truck is too new for me to buy. I bet fire brigade gets restocked soon because it took about an hour after GE got restocked for TB to show up.
  • LegobrandonCPLegobrandonCP Member Posts: 1,917
This is just a wild guess but, since the FB is going to be discontinued soon, TRU might of have sold their last batch of FBs, and they are not going to get new stock in.
  • lulwutlulwut Member Posts: 417
Ah well, guess I'll just pick up the public transport and GE. At 20% off retail, it's still pretty good for a hard to find set and an expensive set.
  • jtkauffjtkauff Member Posts: 15
And Grand Emporium and Tower Bridge are both gone again. No sign of any other restocks on the other sets I mentioned above.
  • lulwutlulwut Member Posts: 417
All 3 modulars and tower bridge are back in stock as of this posting!
  • The_Brick_BuilderThe_Brick_Builder Member Posts: 658
Might buy Pet Shop and 7939 Cargo Train, but its only 17% off that way. :(
  • The_Brick_BuilderThe_Brick_Builder Member Posts: 658
Why won't 3677 come back in stock :(
  • lulwutlulwut Member Posts: 417
Agh, might be a fluke. I checked out, put in my payment info, submitted the order and didn't get a confirmation order. Directed me to an empty shopping cart instead.

Not for long... :) Actually, by 8am when I checked, only GE was left in stock...
  • The_Brick_BuilderThe_Brick_Builder Member Posts: 658
^Damn! I had them in my cart and planned to buy them. Oh well, next time!
  • LegobrandonCPLegobrandonCP Member Posts: 1,917
    Damn it. I was sleeping.

    lol
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
I did manage to snag a pair of Tower Bridges this morning, but that was it... Then it went OOS...

Not as much of a discount as I'd like, but since I sold my last Tower Bridges after Christmas, I figured I should have two of them put away...
  • dougtsdougts Member Posts: 4,110
^ what did you pair them with?
  • forumreaderforumreader Member Posts: 97
Probably with each other, unless TRU changed the quantity restrictions. I know it was possible the first day of the sale.
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
Yep, with each other... So less than $200 each delivered with tax, not great, but not terrible... :)
  • DougoutDougout Member Posts: 888
I missed the modulars again? That's around the time I stopped checking the TRU website, figures. Tower Bridge is back in stock, but now you can only buy one at a time.

My wife called and said UPS dropped off my order this morning. A nice big space shuttle for me and a DUPLO zoo (don't judge me) for the kiddo.
  • JenniJenni Member Posts: 1,390
@iccarus the Duplo zoo rocks, I sometimes wish my daughter was younger so we could have an excuse to get one :)
  • hleonffuhleonffu Member Posts: 247
@Jenni, why do we need an excuse. I bought the Winnie the Pooh duplo sets.
  • dougtsdougts Member Posts: 4,110
weird they allow doubling of the TB. they haven't allowed that on the modulars for a long time now.

walked into my local TRU today and picked up 6x 6857 on the sale. they had just put them out on the shelf apparently. I left the last one there.
  • JenniJenni Member Posts: 1,390
@hleonffu I have to draw a line somewhere, you may not, but the backlog of LEGO to be built is getting out of control. Plus, this way we can buy all the sets needed to MOC our own zoo :).

Speaking of which, is 4438 Robber's Hideout not in the actual TRU stores? It's sold out online and wasn't in the two I checked.
  • hleonffuhleonffu Member Posts: 247
@Jenni Agree with your point. I am in the same state - too many to buy, too many to build and not enought room or time.

I found one in store yesterday, but it's the only one I've seen since launch. It and the Funhouse seem to go out of stock pretty quick.
  • JenniJenni Member Posts: 1,390
@hleonffu :), plus I'm still holding on to the idea that LEGO is for getting as gifts in which case I have enough for my family members for the next ten years.
  • JenniJenni Member Posts: 1,390
@forumreader I couldn't even find the empty space and tag at these two. Your answer's enough that I'll try to check the other one. I should have asked them to look it up at the nice TRU.

Sudden the Shuttle Expedition 10231 isn't on the TRU website at all. It's like the entry has been deleted. What's up with dat? :-)

My GE and MMV arrived today in crushed box. The seal on GE was even broken off, have no idea how did that happen. Wonder if the box has been tempered with before being shipped. Very disappointed... I will not order from TRU again. Their packing is just so much worse than the other major retailers.
  • BuriedinBricksBuriedinBricks Member Posts: 1,367
@pumperx the corner of my shuttle box was a little crushed, but the seals appear to be intact. Probably opening it tonight so we'll see if everything looks good.

I will say that TRU is a little dumb on their shipping. Two sets shipped individually in super huge boxes, arriving on the same day. Seems like a huge waste.
  • vader34mtvader34mt Member Posts: 88
my GE and FB are due to be delivered tomorrow...in two separate boxes

i'm not too concerned about box condition because these are for building not selling, but i certainly hope that theyre sealed and non-tampered
  • gmpirategmpirate Member Posts: 1,654
I've never had a problem with TRU packaging. And its no different than Lego or Amazon in my experience.
  • JP3804JP3804 Member Posts: 332
I have had a couple of sets arrive with one seal broke or streached. The shipping boxes looked like they had been drop on the corner. The Lego boxes were fine do to the packing material.
These were both heavy sets. I think the weight of the Lego bags slamming into the corner does it. jmo

PS: I received an email coupon today from TRU for 20% of in store. Anybody else?
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
^ yep, got the same. Am wondering if it will stack with the BOGO.
  • graphitegraphite Member Posts: 3,275
My GE FB and 2 trains all came in separate boxes where any 2 couldve been packed in each box. They werent the best packed but they had a pretty long string of those inflatable bags in each. I didn't have any issues with crushed boxes or broken seals.
  • tk79tk79 Member Posts: 329
No problems here either so far, except for the MMV which looks like it hit some heavy turbulence in transit. Otherwise they did a really good job and the shipping boxes seem to be closer to the correct size for the sets these days which is a nice change from what I remember for TRU.
  • JP3804JP3804 Member Posts: 332
@ sidersdd I think it said regular priced toy but it will depend on who's checking you out.
  • dougtsdougts Member Posts: 4,110
got my 6 sets (2 orders total), in 6 different boxes. man, what a waste.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
^^ Yes, it did. One of which in the BOGO will be regularly priced. It's worked in the past on some deals. Not all, but some. Will find out tomorrow.
  • JP3804JP3804 Member Posts: 332
^ I didn't think of that. I will give it a go. Thanks
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
TRU crushes more Lego than anyone I order from, including Amazon, which does its own fair share...

I will say that there is one nice thing, being able to return stuff to the local TRU store, which is 5 minutes away, but they never have the good stuff in stock, so while I get store credit, I don't get replacements.

    Grr...

My first TRU online order (placed last year) was my last. Shipping boxed LEGO sets in an envelope? Really? Crushed into oblivion. Then ignoring my email to customer service put a nail in the coffin. Terrible company, as far as I'm concerned.
