Just got the Shipping notice for the #40464 xtra Chinatown set I had on back-order.  They charged me $3.43 + tax rather than the listed price of $3.99.  Anybody else get an unexpected discount?

Did you use any VIP points when you made the purchase?

No I didn't.  I ordered a bunch of parts from B & P and added the xtra pack to get the free shipping.  I only cash in points when I'm buying a big expensive set.

Ah ok. That's why mine was discounted because I used points on the original purchase.

Did your initial order include a gift w/ purchase item.  If you did, maybe they factored the value of that item into the purchase of the other items.  I think Target does this when they give free gift cards with purchase in case of returns.

Nope, just parts from B&P & the xtra pack for free shipping.  B&P don't qualify toward GWP's.

I guess this is a case of “don’t look a gift horse in the mouth” :) (Which seems like bad advice for horses BTW)
