Yes, sale starts at midnight, I advise being there on midnight too, credit card in hand because the popular sets sell out so fast that it is absolutely ridiculous ( literally in minutes)
The promotion usually carries over1-2 days, but sale starts midnight May 3rd, or 12:01 am on May 4th.
The discounts have been declining year-to-year. Hopefully this year is at least as good as last year :/

2 days ago one went for $190 + $18 shipping which makes sense. But why pay more than retail when this is readily available on Lego.com?
1. They get caught up in the bidding war, and just HAVE to win the item.
2. They bid to high, with no knowledge of what the set is really worth.. thinking that eBay is the most reliable source out there as a price guide for sets.
