One of my favourite sets, it would be great if they produced another...with so many new modular buildings since the first mm came out, surely it would be a huge hit.

I remember buying the first one, some years ago now, and thinking that they'd end up producing one every five years. Obviously it never happened. Apparently the original set just didn't sell that well.

Shame, I would love to see more. I have hda mine on display since I first bought and built it. The only set to be displayed continually.

I've seen some good MOCs over the years picking up the recent modular buildings. No doubt lots to be found on Rebrickable.

IIRC the original set was a bit pricey.

I loved this and got it soon after release. I always have a little LEGO on my desk at work (at least I did before covid - I've mostly been in home office since last March, but my office is my LEGO room - can be distracting at times ;-)) so thought this would be perfect to display at work. Boxed it up, took the train to work, and upon arriving at work realized I had left the bag with the LEGO under the seat in the train... I have forgotten a few things on the trains over many decades, but always received them back, either from private persons or the official lost and found of the Swiss SBB (public train system) - Switzerland at its best! Even though the set was in a box with my address and I lodged a formal lost item with the SBB, I never got the LEGO back.
By this time the set was no longer available...
Three years later I found the set discounted in a small toy shop and did not hesitiate, so thankfully I have it again.

Seems like the kind of thing that should be a GWP with the newly released modular one of these years.
