I agree it seems odd that a box is being sold at a 38% markup (using the $5 pack cost x 20 per case)....all under a 'happily announced preorder"

^^ thanks for the help!  I just thought I’d inquire, as I said they’re in line (but cheaper) than market price, really just wondering if the set is going to be hard to find.

^You did nothing wrong.  It seems to be going around(on this site now too)....how dare you raise a question or inquire!  Yet, we tell grade school children to ask questions.  I guess it's just easier to stop reading and be rude.

Unfortunately it seems LEGO ran into production issues due to COVID and regulations affecting their factory efficiencies. It is understandable that the price would come as a shock to many. We hoped to get these at a better price as well. Nevertheless, we have to work with the prices we are given and are subject to these economic as everyone else. Since neither we nor our suppliers are bound by MSRP as the big box stores are, we had to pay a higher price as well.

That being said, we are happy to announce the pre-order in spite of production issues and know that the price will work for some and not for others.
