2nd hand cost of Ninjago City and City Docks inflated?

For those of you that have collected over the years, do you believe that the cost of the Ninjago City and Ninjago City Docks has inflated substantially in recent weeks due to the release of the new City Gardens?

If so, have you found that these sets end up reducing in price (2nd hand market) after things "cool off" a bit?

Of course it has, as soon as the rumours started.

I doubt it reduces that much, also because the offer is scarce.

Probably not, they'll likely increase further as the cheaper ones disappear.

COVID has inflated the price of almost everything. It’ll be interesting to see what happens to the second hand prices in a year or two.

I do kick myself a little though as Cyber Monday 2018 when Ninjago Docks was 30% off.. I ummed and ahhed and so one and in the end bought something else instead.

That's a bummer. I'm learning... and thinking now... ALWAYS get the Cyber Monday deals LEGO has to offer. I got the Old Fishing Store similar to this way and didn't really want it. Now I'm glad I have it. Still not built... but glad I have it.

Wow I didn’t realize the price of the Docks and the City had gone up so much!  It’s what I think we have discussed before - scarcity and of course the hype around the new Gardens.  I’m still a bit surprised by the prices I am seeing on BL and eBay; might come down a bit though once the hype has gone?

At any rate I have an extra Docks on hand I could possibly maybe part with.  : )
