Recommendations for alternative builds (modulars)

I have a few sets that are not modulars that look like they can be turned into modulars (as per Rebrickable). I'm particularly interested in the Tower Bridge set that gets re-moc'd into a corner museum. Has anyone done this? Is it worth it? I think I pretty much like it 95%, but only thing I don't like is the studs that under normal modular circumstances wouldn't be there (floor/canopy) and as for that door.......

Anyone else done any other alternative modulars via Rebrickable?

The only other one i've spotted is the Pub made from the Corner Garage. I still have the Corner Garage to build, so was wondering if I should build it straight out the box as the pub, since I hear a fair few negative things about the CG.

Cheers
Paul

I really like the CG and it has some interesting features. Why not built it as it is and then decide if you want to rebuild it as a pub? Just think - twice the fun!

Don’t let a few negative Nancys put you off building a set you’ve already bought!

It's an interesting question. Piggy-backing on this: Are there any good sources alternative builds beyond Rebrickable?

Brick City Depot is good website, a few years ago I bought instructions and a Bricklink parts list for Smokestacks Coffee shop Ground floor was built as is, then I moc'd the first floor with the then newly released Big Bang Theory lounge set in it. A year later I added a second floor with the Dr Strange set built into it.

BrickDance9 on Instagram is always posting alternate builds to sets. I believe they sell plans or maybe have a youtube how to?

I actually disliked the Tower Bridge MOC.  As mentioned, it's extremely studded, and there's just too much tan.  The outside looks alright, but the inside really needed more colors.  And then the pieces are very small, so the build is really long and repetitive.

It might be better to go the alternate build way with modulars.  The Internet Cafe looks nice (alternate build for Downtown Diner), and I saw a good one for Assembly Square as well.
