Finished the hulk, cap america and wolverine sets this week. Still have Loki's Coamic Cube to build. Been loving these sets. Initially wasn't going to bother with the Quinjet but after seeing the movie I realize it'a a must.
I want a Stark Tower set, all kitted out to recreate the final scenes of the film with a nice Arc Reactor in the bottom somewhere and big lettering across one face that reads: "STARK". Perhaps throw in a bar area and at the other side whack up an awesome Stark-style holographic computer array.
Hulk.... Smash!
But these sets are selling so quick everywhere. Love prices on those $20 ones.
While a danger room and Xavier's mansion would be cool... I'm a little doubtful we'll see them in any sort of capacity as a modular set. We can dream though.
I am pretty excited to see some more X-Men sets down the road. A nice 700+ piece Blackbird set with BEAST on it. Xavier and his hover chair.
I'm sure there are more X-Men movies in the works but I have no idea when any of them are slated for a release.
I'm guessing the Avengers sets are doing very well along with how widely successful the movie has been. It makes sense to release the superheroe sets along w/ a movie release, but I hope they don't fall exclusively into that release strategy. So far that hasn't been the case. But I'm sure TLG is seeing huge numbers of avengers sets flying off the shelves.
The next X-Men movie is 'The Wolverine' slated for next year. But its coming out of 20th Century Fox, so not sure how the licensing comes into play. Direct from Marvel Studios will be Ironman 3 and Thor 2, in 2013. So its actually a pretty light schedule of releases for the near future. But there will be Spiderman upcoming soon to hold us over. Not to mention a possible Batman wave to tie with the movie release. However its coming out next month and there hasn't been even a rumor or peep about it so not holding my breath.
I just got back from watching the movie a few minutes ago, and I can see why he was so complimentary - it's a very decent rendition of the Quinjet. I can even excuse the lack of rotors as the overall shape just looks "right".
Great movie, incidentally !
Incidentally, though I enjoyed The Avengers, it's a big pet peeve of mine when a movie exists SOLELY to set up a sequel... which I believe is what happened there.
Anywho... as long as I get Gambit, Rogue, Nightcrawler and Apocalypse... I'll be completely good with the Super Heroes line. Though a Sentinel set would be nice... and probably a brilliant move by LEGO, on account of I'd buy dozens of them myself. And I assume so would many others.
But the "unnamed sequel" listed on IMDB has the First class Mystique actress listed as the only person so far. But there is no reason they couldn't do a #4 with her as well. Either way I'll be happy that they do more.
Honestly, all of the $20 sets for the Super Heroes line are just great. They have good figures and are overall fun little builds. I've done all three now and have been very happy with each of them. Although, I still don't quite understand why Deadpool's swords are supposed to clip to the wings of his chopper.
MarkI = Crude version (Afghanistan scene in Part 1)
MarkII = All Silver version/War Machine upgrade (Iced booster scene in Part 1)
Mark III = First Red/Gold version with circle-Arc reactor (Last suit in Part 1)
Mark IV = Basic Armor (First suit in Part II)
Mark V = Portable-Briefcase Armor (Monaco Race/Whiplash scene in Part II)
Mark VI = Triangle-Arc reactor (Last Suit in Part II/First Suit in Avengers)
Mark VII = Circle-Arc reactor (Last suit in Avengers)
Between the comic and movies, Lego has dozens of Iron Man armor to pick from. I just hope we get a few more.
@dougts said to me last week, "So, you don't sell your sets, you don't MoC, you don't even build half of them. You just hoard!!"
Guilty.
My precious, my sweet, sweet precious.
At least you pick the most awesome sets to build, like the huge spear on the coffee table.
PLEASE LEGO! PLEASE!!!
OH! EM! GEE!!!!
OH! EM! GEE!!!!
I'm not worthy!!!
If this is a hoax I am actually going to find and murder the creator of that video.
It's a fake.
*I actually would've much preferred it in chrome-red to be honest.

In particular look at the reflection caused by the right hand on the waist and torso. Now look at the Iron Man one. Why is the reflection still there on the waist when the arm is much higher? There should also be more chrome missing from the upper part of the lego when it is bent like that - again compare to the bare patch on the TC-14 which results from the painting of the figure.
