December GWP revealed

The US December store calendar has been published which has revealed the second of this year's seasonal gift with purchase.

40416 Ice skating rink will be free with purchases over $150 from the 1st to the 24th December. The EU/UK threshold is likely to be the same.

The set features two minifigs in Christmas jumpers and a 'splat gear' mechanism to spin them round the rink.

Lovely little set and I would love to have it. But another £150 to spend? In recent years I was able to get both GWPs twice, one for my son and one for me but with these spending limits this is no longer possible.

^ absolutely true. You’d put in two separate orders to get both GWPs in previous years. £150 per spend is a very high threshold and £300 on lego is not in my budget.

That’s a very lovely GWP but I’m glad I spent all of my lego funds to get Dickens.

I suppose I should be grateful for the one GWP...

It does mean that the last few lego things I buy won’t be direct from Lego as I’ll get them much cheaper on Amazon.
