UK/BE Liquidating my old BL store

AleyditaAleydita Member Posts: 950
Okay, so here's the thing, four years ago when my wife became pregnant with triplets, I closed my BL store and put the stock in boxes for easy storage. After moving and the birth I re-opened but sold mostly figures only. About 12-18 months later, I began selling parts as before but with brand new stock. The stuff from the old store, for the most part, was still in storage. Now the kids are three and a bit and we're looking to move again, and I need to get rid of that old stock.

I haven't pulled anything 'valuable' out so there's a genuine mix of everything. There are no figures because I kept my store open to sell those, but there will be some minifig parts in and amongst.

I used to (and still do) specialise in parting out 'older' sealed sets, taking old shop stock/etc. I went through a dozen or so sealed Bionicle Ultimate Accessory tubs, a couple of dozen sealed first and second wave Mindstorms/Robot sets, etc. There is modern stuff in there too. Obviously I sold a lot before the store closed, but I'm just trying to give an indication of what to expect.

So here's what I have for sale. All weights are approx. but I'm putting lower than my post scales say:

25kg of brand new Lego, mostly system parts.

5kg of Technic, mostly brand new but some of it is used. Includes a 2.0 hub and other electrical components (sensors, etc.)

4.9kg of used SW/HP/Batman Lego, the older waves of HP for sure (inc. Weasley's cottage, quidditch set and one of the sets with the Sand Green towers/tan castle walls - sorry, I'm not that familiar with the older HP stuff). This lot needs a good clean, came from a family member, and they were built and displayed in their kid's room for a few years. Probably some faded parts due to lengthy display but I haven't seen any, not that I looked too closely. No minifigs because their kid still has them.

3.5kg of Bionicle/Hero Factory - split about 70% new, 30% used, but now mixed so basically all used, and about 90% Bionicle, 10% HF. Includes the Technic stuff like axles, etc. that you also get with in those sets.

1.8kg vintage (?) Lego, early 80s and before. I kept this separate and never listed in the store, thinking I could use it to complete any incomplete vintage sets I came across. There are no 2x4s because I gifted those to another seller who collects special 2x4s (from certain moulds, etc.) - they were supposed to give back any they didn't want but never did. There may be a very, very small number of modern pieces thrown in by mistake. Will need a light clean probably.

1.7kg used Lego, mostly system but includes Technic too.

~42kg of Lego in total.

I live in Belgium but am visiting family in the UK next week (31st July to 4th August). If you can pick this lot up from Illingworth, Halifax, or Kortenberg, just outside Brussels, you can grab yourself an absolute bargain. I travel in 4 days so need something concrete by then so I know whether or not to take it with me!

Make me an offer! Will also consider exchange for sealed sets I can part out (several of same set preferred).

I suppose some images would help :)

I haven't got any images of the 25kg new Lego as I couldn't figure out a way of quickly getting it in and out of the tub to photograph.

    Plenty more here:

I was agonising over this, as I'm fairly close to Illingworth, but currently hoping to still go on holiday so we'd need the money for that if it all goes ok, which it might well not. So I kept quiet as making any vague promises wouldn't have been fair to @Aleydita
Glad it's all gone to plan!

Thankfully I sold it locally because had to cancel the trip to the UK due to the new restrictions brought in. Changed the day I was due on the Eurotunnel... I'm just glad I double-checked before setting off!
