Why do I have to accept cookies 3-4 times a week?

I’m permanently logged in at Brickset on all browsers/devices that I’m using but I keep getting those annoying popups to comply to cookie settings several times per week.
Question: Can’t you set a cookie that remains active forever? (Or for a year or so?)

It's likely your security settings, deleting the cookies. I've never seen the pop ups you're talking about.

It's the GDPR cookie that's only shown to those in the EU and unfortunately I have no control over it. I think I see it once a month.

I don’t see those on this site, but they show up constantly on BL.
