Awesome Skyrim MOC. Worthy of a real Lego theme.

Great builds, Lego needs to take a look. These would make awesome Lego sets, and The Elder Scrolls has a long history of fan base that would rival Minecraft.

And before the "M" rating is brought up...Prince of Persia games were M rated. ;)

Never played the game... but the MOC looks pretty cool.

Bustin - Prince of Persia was also a Disney movie...Skyrim will NEVER be...it is VERY graphic, splitting peoples heads off and stuff. Don't get me wrong, i LOVE the game and play it almost every day, but it is not Lego compatible, beyond MOC's.

You could argue the same for LotR though. But yes, I get what you're saying.

True...but Lord of the Rings is generally "fantasy" violence, killing beasts, orcs, etc. You kill a lot of humans in Skyrim, and can kill children if you wish to. If they made Skyrim the movie, it would be rated R unless they toned it down considerably. Lord of the Rings got away with being PG-13...and I bet the Hobbit will be PG.

Agreed on the fantasy violence distinction.

And I'd bet my LEGO collection that the Hobbit will be at least PG-13. The trailer tells me that it's keeping the dark overtones of the trilogy.

^ I couldn't really get into it, only played for 130 hours and it already started to get repetitive ;-)

If we remember Indiana Jones for a minute...crocodiles tear apart people in the river, and in the same movie a guy gets crushed in a rock roller... So Skyrim doesn't seem so far fetched.

I guess theoretically it's possible it could become a theme, but I think it would have to become a movie first, and not be rated R. For now...MOC's are probably going to have to suffice.

I'm still a little new to the forum and all (don't laugh) but what does
    MOC's mean?

We seem to have this strong urge to want to make EVERYTHING we like an official LEGO theme. It's just not going to happen - nor should it.

sometimes a good moc is just a good moc - not everything should be a theme. At the end of the day themes are going to be severely scaled down to hit LEGO's price points, and people who would otherwise love them are going to be disappointed.

Some things are just meant to live as MOCs. It doesn't make it any better to have an official LEGO stamp on a box, nor does it make it any less legitimate or impressive to live only in the MOC world.

My sentiments to be exact @dougts....
