Black Friday was my last "big" splurge as the daily offers were decent discounts on things I wanted.

Current thoughts on this years Mt4 are a pre-order for #75317 Mandalorian & Child and #75292 The Razor Crest as the GWP will ship straight away. Other than that i'd jump at a #75244 Tantive IV if on sale >=20%, likewise #75192 Millennium Falcon is on my wish list but have been aiming to get that free on VIP points... 89% of the way there... ok so I can pay the extra but there's something sweet about being free... did cross my mind though that if bought 2 (1 now, 1 later), the first one on double VIP this Mt4 would take me to the 104000 VIP to make the 2nd one free so that's one to build and one to keep or maybe buy the Falcon get a free ISD.... either way i'm sure i'll be buying something this time around. If #75192 is in the sale it'd swing things.

^I am not sure but 2x VIP points might not apply to pre-orders shipping in Sept.

I'll probably watch ANH, ESB and ROTJ.

Unless there is a decent sale, I won't be buying SW LEGO.

I could be tempted by Tanrive IV (It's a UCS in my eyes) if it's reduced.

I could be tempted by the UCS A-wing if Tantive IV isn't reduced but the freebies are good.

Or if I sell some stuff on ebay (the prices are insane right now!), the UCS ISD from John Lewis at £550 might tempt me unless TLG do something crazy like reduce it or give it triple points despite how new it is.

I suppose the downside to the shops not being open is that there'll be no shop only additional freebies like a polybag, and you can't make multiple purchases for multiple freebies as [email protected] enforce those rules.

^ I have never had a problem in the past with CS adding the double points manually when something was on back order or pre-order when it was ordered during a 2x promotion period

Do they? If so, it's not enforced at the time of ordering because I looked back and definitely have some pairs of orders with more than one of the same gift. However, the most recent I can find was a situation where I cancelled the second order before it shipped, so I don't know if I would have gotten the 2nd gift. Maybe it's enforced at the time of shipment?

I definitely have 2 of several gifts, but at least a couple of them I know were an online order plus a store purchase.

Will be interesting to see how they handle this situation where they have online only. They clearly won't be shipping stock to stores right now. Does that mean it should take a little longer for [email protected] to run out, or will they hold some for in-store promos later in the year?

The online terms for the freebies are almost always "one per household", and over the last 3 years they've pretty much stuck to that in my experience. You place an order and get the freebies. You place another qualifying order and either the freebies don't show up on the basket order, or they do but don't make into the actual shipment after having been removed automatically.

It doesn't apply in store, although I'm sure if they put their mind to it, they could tell you've had a freebie in store if you've got a VIP account as they go on your receipt with no cost.

I should have said what my plans were!

Tantive IV, if on discount at all, and possibly even if not. This is my main focus. I will buy it May 4 or in Nov/Dec. Would prefer to do it now.

20th Anniversary Slave I, maybe if at least 20% off. 40% would be a definite.

ISD if it's 20% off, but I highly doubt that would happen.

Any of the late 2019 and early 2020 sets if they're 20% off. Doubt this will apply though. Mostly will check Kylo Ren's

If any of the above are a published "doorbuster" for May 4, I might just do a bundle of smaller sets like the battle packs, micro-fighters, Obi-Wan's Hut, etc. to get to the GWP threshold on May 1, just to make sure I will get the GWP. Alternatively, I could pre-order the Razor-crest and then thrown in a microfighter to make sure I have something shipping right away, so the GWP will also ship.

I will apparently also need to make 2 separate orders to take advantage of the two Droid Commander poly bag codes I have. Uggg!! (One of those will be taken up before May 1 if a couple non-SW sets are back in stock this week)

For most of the recent GWPs (Hidden Side Juice bar, 40 years Train, Easter Egg, etc) I have received multiple copies from multiple online orders...

I will probably go on and order something on May 1 to be safe, but that may change based on whether they give any sort of hints about daily discounts that might show up on later days.

i dont know about others but this, daily discounts on random (feels random to me) set's lego have been doing makes me more likely to not but any set in the hope that one of the big set pop up.

I am fairly certain I'll be pre-ordering the Razor Crest for MT4. I love the show, and I'm semi-interested in the GWP. I like my slowly growing mini-scale diorama display. If there is a seriously good discount on some sets, that may sway me instead of the Razor Crest.

I'm hoping we'll get something like the Black Friday-Cyber Monday "daily deal" on big sets in advance, even if there will be some smaller sets that rotate their discounts each day. The retiring smaller sets will probably just be discounted the whole time, if at all.

Agree, I would rather it be a single sale with the same prices straight through. Although I could understand if they did most of it starting May 1 with a single big daily deal (Tantive IV?) on May 4, so long as it's announced up front that's what's happening.

I don't have high hopes for a decent sale given the current circumstances.

Several of the £50+ sets are currently out of stock, which is likely to be as a result of lower production levels combined with higher demand, so why would TLG want to discount much when they're struggling to keep up with demand at full RRP....

My guess is that the current handful of sets on sale at 15% will be reduced further, and they'll add a sprinkling of others such as #75240, #75272, #75242.

I doubt there will be anything over 10-20% off... I remember when the UCS B-wing was 50% off and I still wasn’t moved to snag one...

if that is set #10227 then at 50% off i would have got it. (i dont yet own any type of B-wing) sadly this set come out when i was still in my dark age :(

and hell any % off the Tantive IV will go down well with me.
as long as it on sale from the 1st day and not only on sale on the 4th day.
with the stock level this years, i am not going to risk missing out on the set's i am after.

I think the B-wing was way better than the upcoming A-wing. I got four of them at half off. Built one and looking forward to building it again sometime. If only they weren't in a storage locker 6000 miles from where I (and my other UCS sets) live. Plus each one came with the chrome 3PO figure. Plus the 3PO and the B-wing shipped separately, and with each package Lego included a free Chima set #70113. I guess they had a load of spare stock that wasnt selling. So I ended up with eight of them. And in VIP points and it was one of my best lego scores ever.

Well, according to the website it's 'The ultimate LEGO® Star Wars™ Event'...

My expectations were low, but that's awful - 20% off a handful of sets, most of which were already reduced!  No wonder they didn't bother with a physical mailshot!
