Had a good LEGO day

Woke up too early, much like a kid on Christmas morning would. Drove 2.5 hours to Indianapolis to meet @sidersdd at the LEGO store, where I traded some goods and cold, hard cash for a spare Green Grocer that he just randomly had lying around. I'm very stoked to finally have one. Thanks a ton, man.

While there, I recruited a LEGO store associate to help me find some S6 Minotaurs for my horde of beasts MOC that I plan to assemble one day, and she found eight for me!

Highlight of the trip was when I asked sidersdd if he has any LEGO Friends sets in his house because I found out he has a young girl, and he told me yes -- Olivia's Treehouse, but instead of actually playing with it, she just uses Ninjago ninjas to pillage and raid it, lol.

It was nice meeting you today @odindusk. Glad you could take that GG off my hands. Hope you get to build it soon.

I think it was the first time my wife had seen those Friends sets up close today. She wants to get the Invention Workshop for our daughter (she's 3). I'm pretty sure her ninjas drink magic potions (I've heard her talk about this), and they'll just be ransacking that lab for ingredients.

I love that your highlight was hearing about sidersdd's little ninja princess rather than your own super-cool purchase :) I'm not at all jealous that you've got yourself a Green grocer... I keep telling myself I can't afford it and therefore don't want it... but somehow I keep taking a sneaky peek at prices on Bricklink and eBay :S

Horde of beasts MOC sounds very cool, what else will you have in there besides 8 minotaurs? I hope skeleton horses :)

I certainly couldn't exactly afford the Green Grocer either. The only way I ended up with it was because I compromised with myself and eBay'd away a few hundred dollars worth of things that I wanted less than a GG. Now I have more room, and a way better set to replace all that stuff with.

sidersdd's ninja princess is adorable. You look at her and it just screams that she'd be all into Friends, but I guess she has too much of her dad in her. I laughed so good at her pillaging ninjas.

Oh, and I don't have my horde of beasts MOC fleshed out yet. It's just a vague sketch in my head right now. I just know that it will include massive amounts of minotaurs riding skeleton horses. Riding dragons.

I can't wait til my niece is old enough to be into Lego. I have a feeling she will be in the ninja princess mould. Like me, she'll be brainwashed into liking Star Wars, Dr Who and Indy. Plus her dad is well into comic books so I guess she'll like Superheroes, her brother already has some of those sets.

I deffo want to see pics when you get your beast of a beast MoC underway. What will the dragons be riding on? :)

Did you sell other Lego to buy GG? Not sure I could bring myself to part with anything. Maybe I could sell something less precious, you know, like a kidney or something?

Oh, and to get back to the original topic (see mods, I do try! :) I have a sealed Hazmat dude you can have if no one stateside hooks you up with one.
