What a nice looking promo.  I really expected nothing for May the Fourth this year.

This is a nice set.  I’m disappointed there is no minifigure - but don’t mean to complain it’s still great for a promo.

this looks so much better than I was expecting based on all the comments in the leak thread. Granted, it could look better. but I like it. Still need to get my hands on a Hoth one.

Is this supposed to be an iconic scene? Maybe I need to rewatch RotJ again.

It would be more iconic to have the A-wing crashing into the SSD's bridge to cause it to crash into the Death Star.

I really don't like the A-wing or the TIE in this set. Look how much better the one from the 2015 calendar is (middle). Even the 2011 calendar one (left) is way better despite so few pieces and simple build. I think the designer tried to be too clever, but ended up with something that looks more like a wheelchair.

The 2015 one really is exceptional - even getting the split down the front. Probably easily in the top ten calendar builds.

I really dislike this set. It looks like everything is completely out of scale with everything else. The tie Fighter is to big for the cockpit. The A wing is to big. Then the background stuff is massively out of scale with everything else. I feel like they knew that they needed to get the A-Wing in as a promo but then struggled to come up with anything remotely iconic. I would have much rather they just did a random scene from A New Hope, which they have yet to do.

The A-wing is absolutely wretched, although it's still a nice little set overall.

^^ a trench run with Luke's x-wing and Vader's tie could have been done in a similar way.

@CCC I agree. I would get this on day one if they did a little trench run.
