I remember finding this set at a garage sale for $1! It had the box and instructions and was missing only two pieces. It was mixed up in a pile of puzzles.

I did buy it and I do still have it! I replaced the parts. It is somewhere in storage.

I've never been a fan of the "detachable vehicle" design (even though it's a natural choice for a LEGO set...), but I ignore the removable cockpits and enjoy this ship as the massive presence that it is.  The use of the rolling garage doors is one of the defining touchpoints of Ice Planet 2002 style for me.
