Advent Calendars

What do you do with your advent calendars once opened. I just used to bag mine up, but since the HP one I decided these calendars are too good to just be bagged and dumped in a box, so I knocked up this. Not everything in there but the more interesting items included I think. Pleased with how it turned out so going to revisit my old SW calendars and see if I can do something similar.

That looks good.  Was going to do that myself but couldn’t find artwork that didn’t distract from seeing the details of the minifigs.  Then the longer I waited to decide on a display - the more minifigs got collected.   So they all still sit in their respective boxes.  I still have yet to even crack open a Star Wars advent calendar.  And this is going back to I think... 2011?   BUT... last week I took a display frame to a guy.  He is going to slice it, add hinges and replace the glass with plexi glass.   If it turns out decent, who knows.  I could have an early Christmas.

I tend to store / display figures with other figures from the same theme and the parts go in parts bins. I don't keep the (licensed) calendars together as calendars, since the are not really that christmassy and I am never going to use them as advent calendars again. However, City ones do come out for winter displays.

Mine go away with decorations unless the build was weak then the few bits go into general population.
