Wall Mounting Architecture

We are wishing to wall mount our lego architecture collection and have seen the below photo on line and wondering does anyone know how this was done?

I saw somewhere people use lego technic to make them hang up but any other suggestions would be great.

The photo looks like they’ve used a sturdy foam insert and cut the right sizes to slot in the sets as needed.

The technic vehicles look great this way. Not so sure about buildings, but its very creative.
