I have a feeling road plates, if they go somewhere, will be back. Especially if the rumored cost of the new system is true.
I'm still waiting for the Town Hall to come back off of "Out of Stock"...

^ Gasp! You're actually going to wear them?!?! But think of the depreciation!

Lol, JK. I don't *get* shoe collecting at all.
But if I don't wear these shoes, I won't have anything else to wear with my Lego Levi's Jean's and matching Lego Levi's denim jacket!

That's nothing. Back in the 80s I had a denim shirt, jeans, jacket and moccasins. Is that quadruple or do the moccasins count as 2?

Definitely not the 1780s. Denim wasn't a thing until the mid-to-late-1800s. (By "not a thing", I mean it wouldn't have actually be available at all).

You know I mean the 1980s. Now roll your sleeves up ... and you will look like how I used to wear my denim jacket.

As for socks, why wear denim when you can wear white socks?

PS for the record I don't think I ever wore more than double denim unless for a joke.

I see the next sweepstakes will be for a graded Lester from Leicester Square. I assume it is technically the blister pack Lester that got given away on the opening weekend for high value rarity rather than the common polybag one. I’m still mad that it was given to tourists in the queue buying the bare minimum, only to be bought from most of the tourists by scalpers immediately.

I think you have 60 days to use it, so hopefully other sets pop back up that you want by then. I just tried to use it to get those locos, but it would not let me.. maybe because the set is on backorder?

If they don't then just order a PAB part. You'll have to pay the shipping fee, but at least you get to place an order for next to nothing and pay postage for the keyring.

I didn't think about PAB actually, that's a good shout.  I generally don't buy smaller sets from S@H since you can get better value elsewhere so was wondering whether or not to bite the bullet - but PAB is a great idea since there is always something interesting there.  Thanks @CCC!

It feels nice and solid... not sure what metal it is so I’m starting a rumor that it is made of Vibranium...

UK - 40448 Vintage Car, signed by fan designer Arne Jahnke just appeared in VIP Rewards at 2500 points and instantly sold out, no idea how many there were as soon as saw it it had gone (not that i'd have had it anyway)

    Thanks for the heads up.

Tried searching brickset for some info but nothing came up, was this announced previously or is it for the upcoming ideas set? As first time hearing about it.
  • The_RancorThe_Rancor Member Posts: 2,623
Interesting - there are clearly Classic Space, Octan and Pirates coins in the display case too, plus the suggestion that there may be more. I wonder how big the coins are because 1150 points per coin isn’t exactly mega cheap.
  • TkattTkatt Member Posts: 472
For the 5 coins and the display case it would 6450 points, about $50(US) worth of points. That's about twice the amount I'd consider paying for the set.
It is nice to see LEGO trying new things though.

I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one of them being a GWP at some point.  Definitely will be interested to see what they'll do with it, and I kind of hate that they they just pop stuff like that up with no warning sometimes -.-

Right - around £7.20 per coin which seems a bit steep....

I feel like there is likely to be 5, just because it will only allow you to redeem points for the Castle coin 1 time.  If there were fewer than 5 unique coins, but the display case had 5 slots, you would have to get more than 1 of the same coin for one of the coins, which seems like an unlikely thing for them to do if you're only allowed to get one of the Castle coins.
