Bugatti - Build Time

Just curious anyone track your build time?  I am more deliberate and sometimes watch TV but I finished book 1 6 bags in 26.5 hours. I am not mechanically inclined so building and placing structures takes time.  I also spend time checking work status.  Love to hear others experiences.

I finished mine last night. I didn't keep track of build time, but the bags with the gearbox took the longest. Once I got onto the bodywork it went quite a bit quicker.

I was generally doing one or two bags per evening with the gearbox. Last night I did 4 bags!

The only thing that bothered me were the amount of spare black pins I had at the end of bags. A lot of bags I was left with 2 spares, and in one bag I ended up with 4 spares! I'm fairly certain I didn't miss any pins, and the thing isn't falling apart, but I've never known 4 spare black pins in one bag...

I don't yet have the Chiron but I did finally crack open the seals on my Porsche 911 GT3 RS this weekend. Box 1, which is the transmission, chassis, engine, and steering, took me about 4 hours.  Boxes 2 and 3 were each about 2 hours.  Box 4 is tonight. I agree that the mechanicals of these types of car take substantially longer than the body cladding, especially as I am very meticulous with Technic and use the callout boxes on each page - it's too easy to make a catastrophic mistake with these sets. I also build Technic substantially slower than System already, and really wanted to savor the Poirsche build; the Taj Mahal took me 7.5 hours ends to end, total, which is a clip of around 800 pieces/hour.

Just finished bag 7 which was def faster.   Agree very intricate esp gear box and you have to watch each step.  I missed a hole on the rear structure and it took over two hours to fix.  Best to do nothing but focus on the build!!  Distractions are dangerous.

I made sure all the structural pieces were gone after each bag.   I had extra pins too from every bag......oh well LOL.

I double and triple every step now.  The Engineering on these models is amazing!!
