BendyBadger's Brickset BonusBall Bonanza - SumoLego Brianmas Edition (Drawing 12/28/2019)

Aloha Bricksetters... Happy Wednesday/Christmas Day to Everyone in the Forum!

Because it is Christmas Day I have again returned to preside over another BonusBall.  I'm also very, very thankful for my Secret Santa sending me a minifigure-scale build of my current truck and some awesome Galidor McDonalds polybags - the first fifty nine (59) unique posts get a numbered entry for Saturday, December 28th UK BonusBall.

Please try avoid double-posts, and I am easily confused and don't count so well.

As I have a wide variety of extra sets, polys, figures and Lego-related whatnot in my inventory, the prize will be a bit of a "winner's choice".  The only condition will be that whatever prize the lucky winner chooses - it will be revealed further below in thread.  And if you don't care, there's a #30543 Christmas Train polybag with your name on it!

The question for your consideration:

I have the luxury of being off for the next SEVEN days.  Other than travelling or being elsewhere (Disney) for a week, I've not had an actual week off in fifteen years.  In between my continued LEGO reorganization effort and downsizing some sets I've had kicking around for many years, painting my basement walls and cutting up a fallen tree in my backyard, I plan to binge a couple of shows.

If you had a week off, what television, movie franchise or other visual media would you binge during that period?

@SumoLego's answer:

Tomorrow/Friday it'll be the Mandalorian in anticipation of Chapter 8, which drops on Friday.  I also plan to binge Firefly.  (I was also contemplating starting The Expanse, or The Witcher but I'm on the fence with both shows.)

Good luck!

Merry Christmas!  Enjoy your week off!  Me?  I don’t binge watch anything.  No GoT.  No Breaking Bad.  But.  I’ve been trying to watch/re-watch the entire MCU in story order.  23 movies?  I’m just over 1/3 of the way through at 9.  But having said that, I’m probably the last person on earth to try watching stranger things.  I probably need to watch it a bit to better understand #75810 & see if it’s a worthwhile buy.  The build looks cool enough!

The Mandalorian. I don't subscribe to Disney+ so I need to bum a binge soon.

You can always revisit some older TV shows like the X-files or Lost.

I would binge star wars Rebels since I haven't seen any of it yet

I'd like to binge watch the entire Clone Wars shows or maybe the Avatar series.

Probably Fringe. I've seen it in it's entirety several times, but I freaking love it.
For new shows, with my Christmas obligations done I'm curently plowing my way through the remade Lost in Space season 2. It's fantastic! :D

Breaking Bad, from the beginning.  We started watching in season 3 or 4, after I had heard enough hype.  Or perhaps Better Call Saul.  Although I do have a hankering for rewatching Stranger Things.  Theres a lot of good stuff out there.  Dont get me started on the WWE network.  Thanks for hosting Sumo!

Every Toy Story, up to 4, but not including 4. For TV, maybe Darkwing Duck.

Good choice on Firefly, I love that show.  I highly recommend The Expanse for binge watching, especially if you're a sci-fi fan.  Thanks for hosting @SumoLego!

Thanks for hosting @SumoIego. love British comedies so it would be Mapp & Lucia, Fawlty Towers, The Thin Blue Line, etc. and loads of costume dramas to round out the week.

Have you seen Black Sails? Great series as a prequel to Treasure Island, mixed with real life pirates. The music, the decors are amazing.

Enjoy your week at home and thanks for hosting another one of these.

I’m working my way through Better Call Saul, have 3 seasons of the Expanse on DVD, so I’d start with those and move on to Chernobyl, Mr Robot and go from there...
Also, given that it’s holiday time, I’d like to work my way through Pixar’s catalogue with Master (almost) 7 and Master 4. I don’t think Miss 1&1/2 will sit still enough, but we could try.

A very Merry Christmas @SumoLego, I hope you enjoy your break and many thanks for hosting.

I'd really like to watch Battlestar Galactica again, but I fear it's too long for a binge...
...a more likely proposition would be all the Star Wars films in chronological order followed by Back to the Future trilogy if there's time.

Thanks for hosting SumoLego and Merry Christmas everyone. It would have to be downloading and re watching the Clone Wars in anticipation for season 7, and hoping Disney doesn't screw it up.

I’m with @Mr_Cross on this one, and second Battlestar Galactica!

Thanks for hosting @SumoLego and happy Boxing Day.

I’d love to binge/re-watch classic Dr Who and am pondering a subscription to BritBox for that very purpose. Although I think it would take more than a week to get through all 600+ existing episodes...

If I had a week off on my own with no list of chores to do, I would probably binge watch GOT (not seen a single episode) or the box set of the Clone Wars that I obtained a couple of years ago and haven't got round to watching yet..... If the wife is off as well then it would be whatever she's watching. :/

Thanks for hosting @SumoLego, enjoy your week off.

Ohhh a serious week off... hmmm I’d have so much to do, I wouldn’t ‘waste’ it all on binging series or movies every day, but I wouldn’t mind dedicating a day to the Lord of the Rings movies (directors extended cuts).
@SumoLego, enjoy your week off and thanks for hosting the giveaway!

Merry christmas everyone and thanks for hosting @SumoLego.

I would go for The Mighty Boosh. I don't imagine many people outside the UK even know what it is and its a bit like marmite.....

I'd go with Breaking Bad and its spin offs as i'm yet to watch any of them and there are quite a few to go at.

Firefly was good though, needed more series of that show really.

Thanks for hosting @SumoLego and hope everyone had a merry Christmas yesterday. Using up some leave so my break sees me though to 2nd Jan too! I still have the whole boxed series of The Americans to catch up with as they shifted channels a couple of seasons in over here. But I also concur on Firefly - sci-fi perfection. And I’ll probably be watching Detectorists again just cos it’s brilliant.

There are so many choices that I usually end up spending hours just looking through to see what’s out there. I end up watching the same stuff though-Tokyo Diner, Detective Conan, Midsomer Murders (until it moved to BritBox).

Thanks for hosting and enjoy your break!

Seeing Noel on the Great British Bake Off gave me the urge to check out the Mighty Boosh, and you just pushed me over the cliff... thanks!

As far as binge watching, I would re-watch the entire Quantum Leap series (a real blast from the past... or is it future?), all 3 Godfather movies, the LOTR trilogy, and Seinfeld of course (it’s real and it’s spectacular!)

Thanks for hosting @SumoLego and please look the other way while I (faulty math) enter 58 more times...

I’d go back to the original Masters Of The Universe. I strongly suspect I watched them out of order as a five year old so it would be good to see the storylines develop. If they did that is!

I'm fortunate this year that our big boss decided as he was off away with us family over Christmas and New Year that he'd treat us to a few more days off. So for one day of my holiday allowance I get 16 days off. I'll probably finish watching TBBT with Mrs Speedy, we've 10 episodes to go now. Amazon has season three of Mrs Maisel which I'll work through, plus I love revisting old films I watched at this time of year decades ago. So Flash Gordon, The Great Escape, The Italian Job, Zulu and more will be watched.
    Thanks for hosting @sumolego

The break between Christmas and New Year’s usually means family viewing of Star Wars and Harry Potter series. But I am currently watching and enjoying Witcher. Thanks for hosting @SumoLego and enjoy your time off!

While I'm a fan of all things Star Wars and science fiction of that ilk (The Expanse is awesome!!), I'm going for lighter fare as I build my Christmas presents: Curb Your Enthusiasm.

The Mandalorian! I just watched the first two episodes yesterday and can't wait to see the rest! Baby Yoda is so freaking cute!

I also have the next week off. If I had the house to myself I'd rewatch Breaking Bad and finish Better Call Saul, then I'd watch the spin off movie. But my daughter has the week off too, so instead I'll be watching Fuller House.

My friends have been trying to get me into The Expanse so I'd probably try that. I also need to check out The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

I have had a hankering to rewatch the Death Note anime lately.

The Expanse is amazing in audio book form.  I strongly recommend them if you have time to listen (commuting, painting walls, before falling asleep).  They are well written, compelling, brilliantly narrated, and have many different depths to the story lines.  I haven't seen the show, but I'm betting that the books are better.

Or binge watch the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Stop at Avenger's Endgame, the proper ending.

I have found myself watching Numberblocks (one for the UK parents) on my own recently, when the little one gets distracted, so probably that or some other kid repeated tv as not watched much of mine for a very longgggggg time

Aside from the Mandalorian, I've been hooked on Mindhunter lately. Probably not for everyone, but I love it.

The Expanse is also on the list though - will probably binge that at some point in the near future.

I'll go with the mandalorian since I've been holding off on it just to binge.  I've also started rewatching the marvel movies starting with iron man (just finished thor).

Entire family here: Most likely Gravity Falls.

Just the wife and I: Been recommended Utopia on Amazon Prime so I'd like to give that a shot.

Just me: Most likely Porn Hub (or similar).

Thanks for hosting and merry Christmas all!

I've always wanted to binge all the Stargate shows. I've heard their awesome. Same with the newer Battlestar Galactica.

If I'm going the movie route, I'd watch all the Alien/Predator movies. I know some of the newer ones aren't great, but I still like them. The the extended cuts of Lord of the Rings.

The last two days have been extended editions of LOTR and The Hobbit. Up next, the Hannibal Lector movies followed by the tv series.
