2020 Star Wars set images!

Some new Star Wars sets will become available in January and images of several such sets have now emerged. This rendition of Poe Dameron's X-wing appears particularly appealing, improving upon 75102 Poe's X-wing Fighter from 2015.

The images are available after the break...

I’m liking the looks of the X-wing and the microfighters. The Sith TIE may grow on me - we’ll see how it figures into Ep IX (if it does).

I'll probably get the Microfighters again this year and that'll be it next year.

Yeah. Currently only the microfighters seem interesting. Opinion may change once I have seen the film, but I don’t need any more x wings or landspeeders.

Not OT spaceships, so not buying. Although I think they look interesting.

Liking the new x-wing and will probably get it just to have another variant (makes for a more rag-tag fleet if no two ships are the same) but I'm going to have to get a few of the Sith Troopers battle pack as the red stomies make the inferno squad BP look positively bland.

TLG clearly feel that they have to have a Millennium Falcon, X-Wing, and at least one Hoth set available constantly and the frequency of iterations is going up and up. I might see about creating a little hypothetical analysis on the stats because the remakes are clearly turning off people that have been fans for more than about 2 years - which is most of the AFOL community for sure. Yes sure it’s a product for kids, but the massive Mickey tax means most Star Wars sets of any substance are out of most parent’s price range.

Still, I’m hopeful that TLG can be a bit more experimental with the Star Wars theme after the January wave. They might not be keen to do a lot with the Mandalorian but if they’re willing to do a handful of (uninteresting) Kashyyyk sets at the start of this year, then surely TLG could mine more from the rest of the prequels, Disney sequels and Rogue One (yes, I do keep banging on about the latter in particular but there’s so much material to be mined!)

aaaaaaaaaand I'll get all of them except the battle pack.
I love the Microfighters. Especially Kylo Rens shuttle
I love that Juniors Snowspeeder. It's a baby one.
That X-Wing. Only thing I don't like is the blue pieces. They stick out and just don't look right to me.
    The Sith TIE. Love it.
    Obi Wans Hut. OK
Lukes Landspeeder. I don't like how the exterior is mostly stickers. I liked the tubes in the last version that went all around the front and sides.
Duel On Mustafar will be on my desk for sure. I love it as a display piece.

The Duel looks great but I'll have to modify it a bit for accuracy - you'll notice in the box art, Anakin is on the higher ground...
Also, I'm guessing these Duel sets are going to become a regular thing. In that case, I might need to get the Kylo/Rey one.

In 2021 I'm hoping for Anakin vs Sand

I agree with them. It is good to have the major ships available at all times. Whether they are new versions every few years or if they kept the old ones on the shelves for five years wouldn't really bother me. Looking at X-wings, I bought the 2012 one, and there wasn't another "normal" sized Luke one until 2018. Of course, there have been new movie versions in the gaps.
