It seems the Dutch/Belgian toy store chain Bart Smit had a contest where you could win one minute of free shopping. Jelle won, this is a photo of him and his loot: http://yfrog.com/nx26zpgj Total sum of everythign he got: € 750.

God bless him. I'm guessing he got like around a $1000usd of toys in a minute. That's fantastic!

I can only see the 3 LEGO boxes, is that it?
I remember Nickelodeon had something similar to this, some kids would win a 1 minute shopping spree and they'd just run down isles pouring stuff down into their carts. Forgot what it was called

    ^

There was a game show called "Video Power" (1991) that featured a prize round where a kid would run through a maze grabbing video games and stick them onto their helmet and vest (Velcro?). It was maddening to watch others my age get a bundle of NES games for free. I would so yell at them through my TV because they were often TERRIBLE at the strategy involved and went all slow and stuff.

    Nice pics by the kid...

TRU also used to do a contest once a year I think for a shopping spree.
They would never do something like that now.. unless they could also add lead weights to both your ankles and wrists AND the items, and give you a cart with no wheels.

God, when I was little Nickelodeon used to have those 5 minute Toys R Us Run sweepstakes where you ran through the store and anything you can fit into shopping carts was YOURS.
I always imagined winning it and just running down the LEGO aisle with my hand out and pushing everything into the box.
Double sets? Who cares, with LEGO it can be used for something!!!!

    I have to say it.
Sometimes it sucks being an adult. You can't enter contests like this!

@MattPetersen Yea that's the event I was talking about! I thought it was a minute tho? Maybe it was 5... I thought it was TRU but like @madforlegos said, I couldn't imagine TRU doing anything like that. I guess back in the day they were a lot nicer to kids haha.

@yys4u: yes @MattPetersen hit it on the head, it was Nickelodeon I believe.. Either way it was awesome, but I thought it was something like 10 minutes, maybe that was just wishful thinking though :-)
