Never been active in the Lego community but finally decided to make an account because I think fora like these are worth preserving and like talking Lego and other stuff.

i was always pretty into legos, got out of it in high school but in my first year of college it dawned on me that I could finally get the set of me childhood dreams, 6991 Monorail Transport Base, through the magic of eBay (and by having a little more money than I did at age 5).

ever since then it’s been more legos and less time to build, but it’s a great hobby and one I keep up with even as other hobbies fall by the wayside.  Hopefully in the next year or so I will be able to build out part of my basement as a workspace, in the meantime I’ll continue hoarding legos and akro Mils organizers

Hi Jeff, welcome to the forum. I agree that Lego is one of those pastimes that stays with you and can be maintained fairly easily as long as you have space, which it sounds like you do. Hope you enjoy your time both with Lego and on here!

Yeah idk what it is exactly but this weird town subtheme just stuck with me.  I felt like the sets, none of which were especially big or exciting, told good stories and came with a ton of useful pieces.
