My Lego City

Hello everybody, I have some personal projects to show you about my City. After being inspired by people like Jang and LEGO displays I decided to roll up my sleeves and make it:

Kids have visited my City but with their parents supervision. I am saving to build a house and a bigger Lego room is in the planning as well living rooms for normal things (and capable of expansion if necessary). My inner kid has problems restraining itself on the stores but I have galvanized myself to only get things that enhance my City and showcase. The rest of the sets in boxes will be in displays to prevent breaking.
I am also buying things like those Overwatch sets and Marvel sets (a few from DC as well) that complements my Sci Fy City.

I like what you are trying to do by mixing themes and making a story to go along.  The accumulation of dirt, cobwebs, and dust does tend to distract the eye in your photos though.
From your video it looks like you have open windows for ventilation— while island breezes can be good for cooling things off I suspect they could also be the cause of your dirt problem.  A good wash down of the Lego, a coat of paint on the table surfaces, and some kind of dust mitigation plan will do wonders for your city layout.
    Keep building and updating!

Yeah, placing an aor conditioner is a plan but with Coronavirus and some things happening I decided with my family to focus on other things while separating this weekend for cleanup.
Edit: thanks for the comments everyone, if possible I would like to see your Cities or display sites as well.

Hello again, I know it's soon but my latest order (of which I have been told to not buy more LEGO and I agree as space is getting somewhat limeted and the spread of the Coronavirus is troubling) is so big that I have a few more updates for it:
    Jurassic World:

Simon Massrani in suit (that came with this set) is meeting with Palpatine telling him.the park is open but it needs two more white 32x32 plates. The Triceratops will be sent to storage as are those two repeated figures.

    Savage Land:

I plan to replace the Carnotaurus with the Baryonix as it is more fitting there so for now, an update to the scenery:

    Desert area:
I found some use for the road baseplates which aren't straight, I need 4 more to finish that stretch and I don't know if I'll continue to add roads in the Desert for the moment as the plans I have for both the Metroplois and the Desert oasis will evolve (first I need a way bigger base in a new home as the vision has expanded):

See you nect time on this page.

Unless there are more sets (it's SW turn in May so let's see if we can get that UCS Millenium Falcon along with the 2019 Tantive IV and more) from CITY (around September) this is how my City World now looks:
Savage Land with Baryonix (took the chance to dust the planes):
Escape in the Juracmssic World (it was bound to happen):

The number of straight roads I need has increased dramatically (like 10 or 20 to be sure):

    Thanks for this journey.

That’s one helluva diverse city. Question though. Would it be safe to land a helicopter on top of a Pringle’s can? 😃

Sure it will but those aren't landing ports but things I use to hold the air vessels in place:

Sorry for not uploading a video showing a Cargo Train I obtained in late 2017, I got cut short today but I'll do so tomorrow, there will need to be better designs on the table, does anyone know how to raise train tracks on baseplates?

Well, in light of a LEGO order arriving soon my minifigures went to work on an Imperial Base to start layimg the groundwork on the structure. I had to move some ships and start constructing the secret project to bring peace to my City:

It's here, my LEGO order arraived and it's glorious how it fixes my World:
First up, the WW antenna being put to good use by the Empire:

Now Black Widow Helicopter under construction and display:

  • LordmoralLordmoral Member Posts: 939
And finally a Lighthouse of Darkness:

The space leftover behind the Lighthouse on the plate, it doesn't click because of a couple of parts on the right underneath the device to change colors:

  • LordmoralLordmoral Member Posts: 939
Some road work (I need more road plates and different colored baseplates to enhance the World):

  • LordmoralLordmoral Member Posts: 939
Well my Coty got the visit of a colorful ship with friends and they look wonderful:

    More updates from my CITY:
First up, the Tusken Raider community got two members bigger:
(cute baby Bantha LEGO, the Skyhopper is on my display case)
    Warriors, the Mandalorians have arraived:

Hello, an order that I placed on the 26th of July arraived and here is the video for the un boxing of it (I am still missing a significant Extra Pieces but that comes later as well a GWP Gingerbread 2019 set that wasn't inclided with the qualifying order but I resolved that issue):
     https://youtu.be/8nBGzGvXfvw
Here is some work I did to my World for the moment:

I have to say that my World doesn't need more road plates but I might so I'll see if I can get another order woth more road plates (unless I reached the LEGO limit in this set).

Now for the water work, it's a shame that LEGO changes it's blue because that ends up making the colors mismatch but I might find a way around it:

Wew, my latest addition to my World is the Raider AT-ST frok the SW show Mandalorian, the way I am placing it in my world is that a group of Klatoonians paid the Used Car dealer to build them a costume walker for them. The Used Car Dealer obligued and ordered one throught the Car Garage out of the discarded Imperial Walkers all for one diamond, when the Raiders asked Jerry (salesman) for transportation he replied that they only paid for the walker:

The story ended when the Klatonians called their base and they agreeded to go pick them up on their cargo ship as there is really nothing else they can do as the one with the money didn't read the small letters and thankfully they have enough for the walker fuel and for food with some drinks.

Hello there. As we seek a few safe heavens of the craziness in life I am gald that you stumbled to my LEGO City construction. Here are the latest additions:
A trio of Llamas are being chased on the street by a hungry Carnotaurus:

A pair of blue birds are on a tree top:

Some additions to the Factory have happened (starting with a baseplate):

Some construction materials have been set up to visualise the complete walls and roof:
The sea floor has some nice additions (with more to come after I order more sets and parts):

The Grocery Store now has a basplate and authorities are debating whenever or not to remove the bottom plates:

The Park got a new white baseplate:

And a pair of new Dinosaurs arraived to be either placed in the wild of placed on storage:

Hello there, making something LEGO related is always great and considering that I hope to buy THE Falcon by this year ends well anyways, let's get on with the update:
    More sea:

Completed the Park Floor (don't worry, there are heaters when necessary):

I have some sets (Death Star Final Duel, Emma Fashion Shop, WH (which since it came with a printing mistake in the box will be left ssealed), Dr Wu Lab Baby Dino, Ninjago Skull Dragon) which frankly I don't have space except for an expansion to my farm-:

-and an new addition to my undersea area (that Plesiosaur tough skin saved it from the sub propeller):

  • LordmoralLordmoral Member Posts: 939
    More updates to my World.
First, the water areas were somewhat fixed:

Two new ships are in my collection:

And we have a Scout Trooper wothout his bike patrolling the desert:

"Presenting from the Factory we are showing you the results of a new product that our World can offer to other places.
    Behold, the Tractor."- Emperor Palpatine

"While hideous rumors surround our great World of investing a lot in military equipement we promise you this, we do but we will not let regular services be interrupted. We are building an undersea research base and we also have a new Construction Truck that we shall be showing you shortly also, we have a Car Transporter that will allow us to take our constructed vehicles into the pier and Spaceport, I welcome you to stick around."

I finished building the Undersea Research Base and while it's an amazing addition to my collection the hole behind it is a major dosey.
"Direct from the City developments close to the Savage Land, the new Undersea Research Base is finished with some minor details on the way (a big gaping hole on the back that a force field is protecting from the sea and the pressure).
With this important step done scientists will be able to study a weird massive door."
