Can anyone help me to fix this problem?

Hi everyone! Trying to get my RIS 2 to run an NQC program but getting this message:
Make sure NQC.exe is in a directory on the system path or in the same directory as the controlling program
(C:\Douments and Settings\Wayne Verish \Desktop\)
I really don’t know how to do this. I would really love to get this program to run. Help please!
 Thanks

Perhaps you could provide some more context so that readers can understand what you're trying to do and how it relates to LEGO?

Yeah, it might be a little hard to follow if you're newer to the LEGO hobby!  It's a Mindstorms question.

RIS 2 is a reference Ye Olde RCX Mindstorms bricks, "Robotics Invention System" (version 2 was from 2001).

NQC is "Not Quite C"-- the programming language which was a limited version of C that could be used to compile programs for the RCX's standard firmware.  I think most folks switched to BrickOS later, since the standard firmware was pretty limited.

As for getting it to run, I'm not sure-- I used the old command line interface way-back-when, but I think there's a graphical one as well-- I don't know which is being used in this context, though, so it's hard to provide assistance without breaking out my old RCX, installing NQC, and trying it myself.  My last attempt to get my RCX running was using Windows XP-- I'm not sure what happens in a newer OS!

Offhand, it sounds like an installation or PATH problem-- if it's on the Windows command line, you probably need the PATH to include the directory where NQC is installed.  But it could also be an installation issue, maybe, where the file registry needs to be updated to reference the NQC location?
