Lots to purchase coming up, one teeny tiny gripe though, why the moped in red most of the time? I've noticed two of next years sets have it included, some more variations please uncle TLG.

^Yeah the aqua one is great and the red is getting tedious. A nice green or yellow option would be nice. If we can have 3 different purple slides we can have 3 colors of mopeds right?

#41306 has the moped in Lavender. Maybe not quite the color you were hoping for, but it is a third color.

Sand green would be awesome albeit unlikely. Lavender is not bad.

Yellow, green, dark red, blue, trans anything, black........... And so on.

Then all i need is a bunch of minifigures wearing parkas and a combination of elements that replicate the look of 136 rear view mirrors for each scooter.

We can discuss even more 2017 sets:
    -Y-Wing (my Rebellion could have used another X-Wing rather than a new bomber);
    -Scarift Battle (serves to guard a beach point rather than as a floor but it has a great minifigures selection, a female Imperial finally);
-SW RO Battle Packs (getting one of each).

I like that #31054 Blue Express Train that's shown up on the main page.  Of course it's just a tease and it'd be nicer if a proper train was released, but I like those small impulse buy trains too.

getting those 2 bigger ninjago sets.

the baddies go with my fright knights , dragon knights and nexo baddies!
    red-grey-black is a nice scheme!
  • FauchFauch Member Posts: 2,679
though not the most imaginative color combination for ninjago, but they are still the highest on my 2017 list too.

I've taken a liking to the Technic tracked racer this week. I want to build it, then I want it to snow, and then I want to try racing it through the garden in the snow.... OK so I'm still a kid.. :D

Assembly Square and anything Super Heroes themed except Friends subtheme. Also Collectible Minifigures.

I have taken a liking to the new Nexo Knights mechs especially Axl and Clay, those two can form the basis of a Imperial Construction Mech (in Axl case) and Darth Vader personal Mech suit (Clay one after some MOC).

I have become enamored with classic set #10703. It is loaded with windows and doors in rare colors like med azure, green, dark blue and pink. Will get one as soon at it is available here to MOC with and probably more later when good sales arise.

It also has - from the looks of the main picture - two of the new 45 degree angled door frames!

As a system set collection it's nice but as an UCS set it's not and it deserves to be bough in clearance.

The UCS label doesn't really mean anything to me, so that doesn't bother me. I am going to try to get at least $10 off, though it will hopefully go on sale.

Haha, I wish! I wouldn't want to blow my budget within the first few months, I've just selected my favourites from the January selection. These may be purchased towards the end of the year once we get a sense of what sets are out this year plus I could do with some discounts. I already own #10255 - Assembly Square so that's off the list!

Catwoman Chase from The Lego Batman Movie (that cycle and the jewelry prop are cool)

    Summer sets wish list:

Assault on Hoth (LOVE this set, unlike most)
    Resistance X-Wing
    Encounter on Jakku
    Scarecrow's Harvest of Fear
    Black Panther Jet
    Airport Battle
    Ghost Rider Team Up
    Doc Ock's Tentacle Trap
    Bridge Battle
Wow, it's funny to look back at this. I still haven't got any of these sets, and to be honest, many of them I don't even like.

More importantly, I thought AoH was a good set??? I must have been possessed.

I was re-reading this thread also, and the thing is...I have so much to get from 2015 and 2016...jeez. I've spent WAY too much money on older sets since coming back to the hobby. But screw it im enjoying myself.

About Hoth. I wonder, and maybe there is a better place to post this query...realistically, what's the lowest price one could expect to pay for it? If I could get it for, um...I dunno, maybe 160-180 I'd love the set. I don't have any older Hoth sets and would like some icy cold Star Wars representation. Aftermarket prices on the last large Hoth base are up in that range, this has more to offer.

    That a realistic price?

@SirBrickalotOfLego Funny, from your list I'm only missing 2. Doc Ocks set and Hoth. I intend to get the Doc Ock set because I'm old school Spidey fan and want that vulture. I don't have an Octavius in my collection yet so it satisfies that too. It's also on sale.

    Hoth I went over above.

As for the rest, the Resistance X-Wing was great fun to build. Solid, swooshable LEGO craft. If you had not built Poe's X-Wing, it's even better. I had not gotten around to it. Do I kept Poe's in package as I think it less likely to be re-issued. I also think that it doesn't live on in The Last Jedi.

Encounter on Jakku and Airport Battle both suffer from re-used minifigure fatigue but have some nice aspects to them, namely the Luggabeast and the Giant-Man figures, respectively. In both cases, there just isn't enough of the market to justify the original RRP nor enough airport. But with discounts the sets were worth it. My main gripe? The Luggabeast. It is a beast with armor on it. This looks like a robot. But I'll take it for now it's decent. But a head on it, sculpted, with a removable armor head piece would have been something really special.

Ghost Rider set is cheap enough to just get it for the two great minifigures of GH and Hobby if you are a Spidey fan. GH on his cycle is TITS. Black Panther set way better than I expected. But a Marvel vehicle sets almost ALWAYS surprise me with their build efficiency yet interesting design. His plane is a very unique build. While building it I'm like...huh? When it was complete? I was like...oh YEAH.

Scarecrow set? I honestly bought it for the tractor. I desperately want City to do updated farming equipment! The best thing they've done in the category was the Combine Harvester but nothing as amazing since. This Harvester is a pale imitation, but it could be converted by anyone who wanted into a workable one for a lot less money. And the Batcopter isn't horrible, but still, it ain't no Bat, which still needs a quality LEGO version.

i bought Bridge Battle, haven't built it. This was the first time I bought an item at full price, then saw it on Sale for 30% off not a day after I bought mine. So I ordered it. But then returned the one I'd already bought. Not exactly ethical, but 30 bucks is 30 bucks.

Hmm...should try to write a review...

@blogzilly I saw the Ghost Rider set at a local supermarket a few weeks ago at 55% off RRP, I passed on it, though I wish I had bought it now.

I really couldn't care less about Encounter on Jakku anymore, the figs don't excite me and the builds are awful. I agree about the reused minifigure fatigue in the Airport Battle, though some figs (mainly War Machine) really draw me to the set. Not much else though, except Giant-Man obviously.

Still mean to get the bridge battle, but the scarecrow, X-Wing and Doc Ock sets I'm no longer fussed about.

Old Fishing Store and Ninjago City for me, both released more or less at the same time - my bank account weeps. I love em though.

Incidentally I've heard a rumour that as well as other offers and deals in September Lego are going to do double VIP points on TLNM purchases. Anyone know if that's true? And if it is, will it be in the UK?

    Thanks! And my first post!

For me the Old Fishing Store and maybe the Ninjago City as well. I want most of The Last Jedi sets, but I'll try to get them at a discount and I'm intending to buy the Destiny's Bounty as well if I see it on sale somewhere!
It has been an expensive year.
I'm not going to buy "thatbigboxthatstillhastobeannouncedofficialy", but I'm curious to see it released and hopefully see it build at a LEGO store!!

I don't know if this is another golden age, but the number of pricey models this year is ridiculous:  Assembly Square, Fishing Store, Ninjago City, Saturn V, Destiny's Bounty, and the USC Millenium Falcon.

How are we to keep up? Is this peak Lego?

Picked up Assembly Square last month, so there's just Ninjago City and Old Fishing Store to go. Somehow I doubt I'll ever be able to afford both of them though. :-(

    My list for the year:

    Destiny's Bounty

    BB-8

Maybe the UCS Falcon and Ninjago City.

Other than that I think I'm done for the year.

Will sell other collectables to afford:
    - Saturn V
    - Old Fishing Store (though I may have to wait and buy it in 2018)
    - Women of NASA

    Would like:
    - Halloween seasonal set
    - Thanksgiving seasonal set

Will attempt to finagle with various loyalty points and/or Tesco 3-for-2s:
    - Pizza Van
    - Cargo Train
    - miscellaneous Creator and City vehicles and buildings if cheap enough
    - Destiny's Bounty
    - The Scuttler
    - Temple of the Ultimate Weapon

Apparently I was lying to myself when I said I would specialise in Ideas sets, but they are my priority.

I had no interest in Ninjago, but the city set is pretty slick. I like it and Destiny's Bounty quite a lot as the latter reminds me of my old pirate ships.
Kinda torn on whether or not to get Ninjago City or keep adding to the modulars. Want Brick Bank and Assembly Square. Decisions, decisions. . . .

NC I see Modular but the water front takes it out of character (unless you build a contention wall for that pool/fish tank).
