    Assembly Square, the new Arkham Asylum, probably several of the Friends and Elves sets that I didn't get this year...there's a lot to be considered given my budget is not big enough to get everything I want!

    For my personal collection, as per usual, all the Marvel sets. The newest Modular will be a must buy as far as @xiahna will be concerned, she'll also probably want the new Elves sets. As for the family collection, we may get some of the City sets that catch our eye.

    Assembly Square, Arkham Asylum, maybe if there's still enough money left the Disney Castle.
    And if I find some sets at a good deal, I might be buying the creator townhouse (a couple of them to create a modular), marvel detroit steel set (or I'll buy Coulson as a loose minifig), the new star wars rebels phantom, maybe next year's rogue one sets ...
  • FireheartFireheart Member Posts: 631
    There must be some Star Wars 40th anniversary sets... And hopefully a special UCS item..

    The force is strong with this one. ;)

    I'm planning to buy that too, as well as the Assembly Square.

    Fortunately, given the likely price of the first one, that's all that is currently on my list for purchasing next year.

    Alright, what am I missing? What's the really big expensive set you guys are talking about?

    Edit - do you mean the new Death Star?

    @Paperballpark - that Lego is very expensive I wouldn't disagree.
  • RedbullgivesuwindRedbullgivesuwind Member Posts: 2,117

    On topic I am worryingly only looking to buy four things:

    Yoda's Fighter, The two battle packs and the Assembly Square. I have seen nothing else that I want to buy aside from the odd figure here and there. I feel so grown up!

  • mustang69mustang69 Member Posts: 544
    Definitely getting the Assembly Square, day 1 purchase. Most likely pick up whatever the winter set will be. Hopefully they get back to the roots of the line and actually do a Winter Village set. Thinking about picking up the new Arkham Asylum to MOC into a bigger Santa's Workshop. Anything else I will have to wait to see what it looks like :)

    Wow! Those Batman movie sets have lots of new characters and they spread them out pretty evenly. Well played Lego. Well played.

    When I click those links I get "Green Creative Box" and "Orange Creative Box" respectively. I very much want boxloads of green and brown (and indeed grey and tan), but where'd the info about the bricks come from?

    They have Blue, Red, Green and Orange creative boxes. I doubt there will be any grey or tan or brown, at least this year. Who knows, maybe they caught wind of all the people putting together monochrome figs and will include one of two in each.

    Those sound very interesting... Do we know anything more about them? Will they contain just bricks or other items, such as plates, tiles, etc?

    The grainy classified images showed a mix of parts in the full range of the color group as well as some white/gray/black. Just look at current Classic sets like #10705 and then just at the blue pile and imagine a bucket of just that with a bit more variety.

    I can't wait for it to be released - it's just filled with detail and really shows off the ingenuity of the designers! How they got that mechanism to fit in at the back I have no idea! Excited!

    Heavens! I forgot about #21309 Old Fishing Store... That one is likely to be a purchase in 2017.

    Yep much like the current classic sets but a lower part count and lower price. 55-75 pieces for $4.99. There was also a larger set very much like the current classic sets but with lots of windows and doors, including the new corner door. I didn't catch the price of that one though.

    Well given that people are clearly mentioning sets that haven't been officially revealed yet (even though I clearly asked out of courtesy that please keep it to other posts):
    -70900 Joker Balloon Escape (due to the small tank that comes in the set useful for a factory MOC I will make);
    -PAB (need to continue one of my MOC);
    -Classic 32x32 plates (five tan, four green);

    I guess these will be aiming to fill sort of the same "pocket-money creative building" niche that Mixels left behind, then. I look forward to seeing pictures of what kinds of parts they offer and what sorts of "suggested builds" they might deliver.

    I live in hope that we're thinking about the same thing... but being a Star Wars fan I'm becoming used to being disappointed by all things UCS.  Assault on Hoth, 10188 MK 1.0001; what have TLG been doing this year?

    Perhaps 2017 will be a year to remember for all of the right reasons; at this point in time I'd be happy for the long awaited #75144 actually being an updated #10129 (with 10 extra elements!!) Yes, that's the best we can expect - a New Hope 40 years on.

    @Paperballpark @Redbullgivesuwind - I heard that it was coming in two sets, a small one and a big one, but the big one would be a limited run. I must admit, it's got me excited and concerned at the same time. Not sure I can hold all those emotions together! :-)
  • RedbullgivesuwindRedbullgivesuwind Member Posts: 2,117
    @MaffyD I heard that the big one won't work without the small one. So you have to buy both, but the small one is five times the price.

    But out I am only repeating what I heard from a Lego shop assistants friends cousin.

    Some say that it was banned from North Korea, and the only person outside of TLG to see it drowned in a mysterious boating accident.

    All we know is, it's called the... oh wait, this isn't Top Gear. :p

    I got perma-banned just for thinking about it. And I'm not even a member! They mod HARD over there!

    But it's all legit though - a talking dog whispered it to me while we ran naked through the tall grass in the foothills of the Andes. Well, I was naked, he wore a trilby.

    Is the Snowspeeder THE UCS for Star Wars' 40th birthday? Or is that the normal slot with something far more impressive to accompany it? The ideal partner to a UCS Snowspeeder would be a UCS AT-AT.

    I would love to buy:
    -the SW battle Packs;
    -Imperial Hovertank (it may be not the regular RO set);
    -Yavin 4 Temple (needs to be both sustantial and the equivalent of the regular Creator sets);
    -Y-Wing Bomber;
    -Bunker Battle (will use this to MOC as well);
    -there seems to be a lot of unlabeled sets as of now in the Brickset page so let's see what goes on, I will however, only concentrate on the sets that have a place in my universe (both inthe Clone Wars and OT era).
