Two sizes that I use are the 145 litre, and the 70 litre. (70 litre for single boxed items, and the 145 litre for multiple boxed, or the very largest sets).
They are not cheap but they are the best at storing your boxed sets. Below are a couple of links, you can find them cheaper on Amazon etc, but just to show you an example:

I also bubble wrap the LEGO boxes before putting them in.
What has your experience been with the security seals: do they stay put for the most part or shift around/become loose, peel off?
I very rarely move the boxes, they are in storage. And as mentioned before all are bubble wrapped to protect against any box rub.
