MOC Shadows Of The Empire Figures

This has been a ‘thing’ I have been meaning to do for a while, but really wanted to have a set of shadows figures. These are a mixture of custom printed parts and figures from third parties and a bunch of ‘mix ‘n’ match’ parts from official figures.

Prince Xizor - 100% custom figure from a chap off eBay

Dash Rendar - 99% custom figure from a chap off eBay but with an Owen Grady hairpiece added

Guri -  99% made from official parts, body and legs are from Kabuki Twins, custom red skirt. A random Knights specked grey arms and head and hair

Princess Leia - 99% made from official parts, standard blue two legs with Wildcat body, flesh arms, Leia head and dark hair, the skirt is a custom

Luke red guard - bit of a mix. Legs are from galaxy squad robot, body from praetorian guards, arms from deadshot figure, Luke head but the body armour and shoulder pads and helmet are custom

Luke shocked gear - 100% Lego parts. Young Han Solo legs, Hoth trooped body, Luke head and hair

maria Jade - 100% custom print from firestar toys

Talon Karde - 100% Lego parts. Han both legs mixed with a belt hinge, flesh arms, Bowman body head and hair.

Guri -  99% made from official parts
Out of interest, how do you define the percentage? It clearly cannot be by parts (as to get 99% you need one part in 100 to be non-LEGO, and there are not 100 parts). By weight maybe?

^ no, it is more representative terminology - so in no way mathematically calculated or of scientific value, or any really measurement of any kind :)

OK, I wondered as I normally find stick to purist vs non-purist. So even if a figure has parts with any customisation at all, it goes to the non-purist list.

These are very cool! SHADOWS was a fun time in pre-Disney SW days...and, a great N64 game, too.

I think it's time to read Shadows and the Zahn trilogy again (for the 7th time). I read them all as soon as they were released.

^I had the "books on tape" version. I had lots of Star Wars books on tape. The Han Solo Trilogy, Shadows of the Empire and The Thrawn Trilogy to name a few.

^^ I listened to the Thrawn Trilogy book-on-tape as performed by Anthony Daniels way back when.  It was fun to listen to his interpretation of Luke Skywalker with an insecure whiney voice...I couldn't help but think he was throwing shade at his costar from the movies, but I'm sure that was not the case! And his C-3PO voice was right on target, almost as if he'd done it before...
