Which is what Marketplace is for. No need to duplicate it here.

The post is not in marketplace, so I guess we can comment on the sale...

Good luck with your eBay sale, but all I can say is your having a laugh...

Man, $25k and you can't even offer free shipping? =D

    Seriously though, best of luck.

There's ANOTHER post in marketplace, but this particular one isn't.  Maybe this is all an elaborate April Fools joke of some kind?

Since this is a duplicative post, how about we shut this one down?

I get the sense this one will turn into a commentary on 'rated' or 'graded' minifigures and/or sets.

    Thanks! @Huw; @drdavewatford; @CapnRex101

Realize it's getting shut down but....

Considering what I sold my last set for that's not an outrageous asking price. It's easy to look at an expensive item and cry overpriced, but if you don't have familiarity with the item in question probably best not to (somewhat) humiliate the seller. People shouldn't be so quick to cast judgement.

This also serves as a good reminder why it is rude to post on someone's trade thread.

With that said, I welcome comments on my thread...mainly because it keeps my thread at the top ;)

Obviously, this thread is not in the Marketplace, thus we are all commenting on it.  But there are plenty of opportunities for Marketplace threads to get derailed with criticism or other inappropriate banter.

Whether it's a good price or not, I couldn't even begin to imagine the grief I'd get from my wife for spending $25K on a couple of LEGO minifigs; although give the size of them they'd be a lot easier to sneak past her than most LEGO purchases....

It's not even the minifigures, it is the packaging and lanyard that is costly. The minifigures can be had for a tenth of this price.

Come now. We all know that all LEGO collectors, are, at heart, Lanyard collectors.

    Clam-shell packaging collectors anonymous.

I've always found this one quite funny. The number of sets without the packaging has dropped, but there is still one seller ...

Do keychains count as a type of lanyard?  Then, yes.

I'm not bothered by the packaging being worth more than the figure. It's been that way since Christ was a corporal, but a lanyard? I get it; I guess it proves it's authenticity somehow, but does it? If I was going to spend even $1,500 for a minifigure, I would want some certificate of authenticity. $25k??? I would need that and a hell of a lot more. You wouldn't buy a $25k used car without taking it to a mechanic first would you?

Wait!!! When did this get moved to the Marketplace? It wasn't in this section when I commented earlier? I must apologize. Maybe the comments can be put in it's own topic??? Thanks. Again I apologize, I don't usually comment on people's Marketplace threads.
