Reconfiguring Duplo Figures

Hi all -

I've been getting into Duplo castle/knight sets with my 4yo and 2yo sons
over the last year.

This past summer I made a blog post about reconfiguring Duplo figures to make
custom ones, and thought it might be of interest here!

You can see the post here: https://www.evancrouch.com/fun/building-custom-duplo-figures/

Has anyone else made custom Duplo figures?

Awww! I love this! I'm a DUPLO Knights fan as well, but I never experimented with taking apart the figures. Thanks for the detailed explanation!

Thanks Akunthita! One fun thing that my sons thought was "magic" was switching out Lion Knight heads (under helmets) with Eagle Knight heads so that they grew beards over night.

Going to have to give this a look as I've often contemplated mixing & matching

This went well using some recent children figs, right up to the point where it was just the head & torso.
They seemed to have moved away from the pinch pin  to a complete one with no protrusions, meaning it's either very difficult or impossible to detach the head without permanent damage

Bummer! I wonder what year range of figure this method works for completely.

With the full pin, you'd be restricted to replacing arms/legs/torso, or permanently damaging a head (which might be OK if you have something specific in mind and don't mind sacrificing another figure to make it).

Do you have a picture of what the full pin looks like?
