Skaerbaek Fan Weekend Fairy Bricks Minifigures Being Auctioned Off on eBay- Ralph, Ed, James, Huw

Seems like some fun minifigures made for Fairybricks of the 2018 cyclists Ralph, Ed, James, and Huw are now being auctioned off by a re-seller (one of the greediest I know) to make a profit. By the current prices, they're probably going to end up going for quite a lot.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=premium_minifigs&item=173783415146&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xcyclist.TRS0&_nkw=cyclist&_sacat=0

Not sure how I feel about this personally, it feels a bit twisted. Especially since Fairy Bricks will see none of the winnings. Seems a bit strange/wrong to be making money off a charity, but maybe I'm looking at this wrong? Just thought I'd bring it up to see what other people thought, including our wonderful cyclists, thoughts?

I'd be rather pissed off if I ended up being less valuable than dog.

I guess the only way to combat it is to get more printed and sold direct by Fairy Bricks. Kill the secondary market in the same way that LEGO can, via reissues on the primary market.

Or just accept that reselling is always going to happen and maybe this seller is funding  their education or paying rent. Someone is willing to pay so I guess that’s up to the buyer???

if the buyer really wants a custom printed figure then they’ll pay...I wouldnt pay that for a custom print but I’m not a minifig collector at all and I don’t see the value.

I'm not too worried about it. I'm sure this happens with a lot of items from charitable events. It is kinda the same as having a charity auction where people bid on items and the money goes right to the charity, but then down the road the items that these individuals won, are on Ebay.

I watch Storage Wars and to be honest, it seems weird to me that people auction off a poor souls items. that they left in a storage locker because they failed to pay the rent. Maybe a lot of these people fell on hard times for various reasons. To see them go through these items the way they do kinda messes with me. Throwing clothes around and smashing items that a person may have found dear. So, I don't think that what this person is doing is any worse.

I don't know if I would want to have a Lego minifigure of @Huw or the real thing ;)

What about a fake Chinese Huw for under $1 (delivered)?
