What are some things you wish Lego would make the sets for already.

There are a number of themes that Lego has the rights to but has made little or no sets for. X-Men, Adventure Time, and Dr. Who, etc. As such is the case what are some things you would like to see Lego make sets for?

I Personally would like to see some sets for James Bond. I like the movies, and the DB-5 was nice for the people that like the large creator cars. But for fans who don't want to spend $200 on it would a couple of littler sets with minifigures would be welcome.

Each set could contain a different James Bond actor. Put Sean Connery in a Dr.No set, Roger Moore in a Moonraker one, Pierce Brosnan - GoldenEye, Daniel Craig - Casino Royale. And so on.

Few years ago some MOCs appeared of 007 sets with concept packaging.
They looked great, but I think the market for anything that isn't from the latest films wouldn't sell well.

More TRON sets would be super awesome.

While I completely understand that it would never fly, I would still love to see more Doctor Who stuff released - primarily a minifig series with all the Doctors and a good selection of companions and badies.

    Never gonna happen... but, still.

There are so many.  But the one I wished for most, I actually got my wish.  Back when the Scooby Doo sets were released, i always hoped for more Hanna Barbera sets, seeing as how they could obviously get the licences.  I was never able to collect all the sets, but felt one good medium one, the Mystery Machine, would do to ensure I got at least some of the theme.  Still, I wished for more and of all their iconic shows (would they ever do the Jetsons), for the Flintstones.  Now that actually got approved, it’ll be a Day 1 for me.

If Im going for things that have some likelihood that they could have happened at some point in time -

Doctor Who, Adventure Time, Batman the Animated Series specific sets, Knights of the Old Republic Star Wars.

As far as things with no likelihood -

Studio Ghibli, Pokémon, The Persona Franchise, Steins;Gate and Final Fantasy!

I'd be happy to see Bond, I think if they did it using the 'speed champions' format it could work just fine. Haven't thought these through much, just blue-sky ideas.
    • DB5 & "Sean" grey suit
    • Vantage? Toboggan? & "George" with dress-shirt
    • Lotus & "Roger" light blue or tan suit (needs to convert to a sub!)
    • Big Rig & "Tim"a little battle damaged?
    • BMW & "Pierce" black suit
    • DB10? & "Daniel" inc. defibrillator?
Don't know if I think they should come with relevant Bond girls or not...

I'd also like to see the BTTF train.

A proper X-Men set.  The blackbird was a good start and I'm optimistic with x-men film rights going back to Disney/Marvel.

^Especially since Disney lost a billion dollars on Hulu alone. I'm sure they'll want to get as much money from the fans as they can. Just look at how they raised ticket prices before Star Wars Land opening.

I'm still surprised we haven't seen a 50 Shades of Dark Bluish Gray theme yet.

The nostalgia factor would come in to play with afol community. Also I think any sets would sell good as long as they look cool enough to attracted the younger fans of Lego to buy them.

I don't want it, but I'm surprised they haven't done Teletubbies as duplo. After all, they did Little Robots.

More sets based on MCU films that have already happened would be nice - though unlikely - Star Wars make sets based on older films that sell pretty well so why wouldn’t the consumer buy more sets based on older MCU films? I say this partly out of disappointment with recent Marvel sets not based on any specific film.

Unfortunately nostalgia is rarely a factor in the sales of Lego sets. Ideas managed to get some like the DeLorean and the original Ghostbusters, but I think it's safe to say that TLG find it risky since they so rarely do it. Bond sets probably could do quite well as the next playset line, but if TLG wanted to release an Agents theme for kids, an in-house theme would achieve similar goals without the licence.

Good point.  Nostalgia can certainly move a few sets to AFOL’s, but it’s easy to forget that’s not the major driver of sales.  Even a theme like Scooby Doo was a one & done.  Going further back, they haven’t done anything further with Indiana Jones, or lesser yet, speed racer (a theme that was in my dark ages & I forget exists until I run across it by accident).  Even ongoing themes  such as Marvel, which could do more, deem to stick to releasing what’s in line with the current film release.  Having said that, as much as I wanted it, even I can’t expect anything further out of the Flintstones beyond the one ideas submission.

^and with something like Scooby Doo there is almost always a modern version running in some format too whihh keeps it more relevant for kids.

A short list of things I would love for Lego to produce (but I'm not going to hold my breath for):

    • Star Trek (films and tv series)
    • Stargate (film and various tv series)
    • Star Crash (a horrible film but some fun ship designs)
    • Battlestar Galactica (both classic and new)
    • Starship Troopers (all sorts of cool bugs to build as well as ships)
    • Space 1999
    • Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
    • Flash Gordon
    • Mars Attacks!
    • The Alien series of films (including prequels)
    • Mad Max and sequels, especially Road Warrior (yeah TLM2 gets us close)
    • Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory (Oompa Loompa minifigs!)
    • Shogun Japan with Samurai and Ninja
    • A trains collectors series with various locomotives and rolling stock
    • MONORAIL!!!  I don't care what theme, just give us new MONORAIL!!!
    • A sporting stadium centered architecture subtheme

My most desired theme/sets would be Muppets and Sesame Street.  I know the latter skews towards younger kids, but I'd love to see some sets based on them.  They could do a small vignette or something of one of the Sesame Street stoops.  But not in the Duplo range either.
